Appreciate it! Unfortunately, I've been very busy with school and work as of recently and haven't charted in quite some time. In the event I have time, I'll probably actually re-do the German version, as I've since discovered that the version I used was a re-recording and not the original 1982 version. In fact, I have quite a backlog of songs I've been meaning to make and even re-doing a lot of my older ones as well; It's really just a matter of time, energy, and motivation - all of which I don't have a lot of atm xD |

I'm not hearing much of a difference. I think they just made it that way, kinda lo-fi-ish. The spotify version also sounds that way too. In fact, I think a lot of their music is recorded to sound low quality. Nonagon Inifinity sounds like it was recorded with cheap mics in a storage unit. |

Hey! Not bad for a first chart! I actually have a microtonal guitar like the ones that they use! I charted KGLW about two years ago and yeah, it's hard trying to figure out which notes are the quarter tones. You could set them to be pre-bend notes, but they'd be appearing in game as behind where they should be on the fretboard. Theoretically, you could make a custom fretboard skin for the game to have the extra frets, but notes would still be limited to what the EoF can make and what the game can display. If the game was more moddable, I'm sure you could do it. |

@lumcadi I've been meaning to hand-create the sections for all of the Nonagon songs, but at least on my end, I can still cycle through the ones that the builder generated. I'm not quite sure what you're asking to fix; could you clarify? Whatever it is. I'll try and get it fixed asap. Thanks! |

Just so you know, you can do frets higher than 22, just go on Editor on Fire, "Track" Tab, go to "Pro Guitar" and then "Set number of frets/strings". |

Top notch chart! The chart is ODLC quality, the tone is on-point, the loudness of the tone is balanced properly... keep up the good work; love to see more! |

@lallomes Yeah, I was debating either charting it as close as possible to the exact quarter tone (using pre-bends to simulate the frets in between frets), or just ball-parking it to the nearest semitone. I decided on the latter. I figured that as long as it was close enough, it wouldn't be all that dissonant to the average listener. I think maybe a healthy compromise would probably be to do the former but just set all pre-bend notes to ignore so that it wouldn't count against your mastery in Learn-A-Song. I wish there was a way to represent the micro tones better visually, but I think that's probably the best we can get with the UI. As for the tuning, I really just experimented between B Standard and Drop B, and found Drop tuning to be easier to play. However, when I was close to finishing the chart, I watched the Melbourne Concert and found some inconsistencies in my chart, but figured that this v1.0 would be a good starting point to get some feedback. I'll definitely be testing out the new tuning, and seeing how to transcribe it. Thanks! |

Very cool! Do you plan on doing all of the songs on Where the Light Is? I'd love to see how Neon turns out! I've been trying to master it for years! |

So why not wait till the actual studio recording comes out? Like I get it if you're actually at the live show listening to the new content...RAD AF! TOTALLY! But whats beyond baffling to me is the people who allow a shitty cell phone recording be their first experience of the new content. I mean, it's whatever. If people want to listen to it, they'll click on it. If people want to avoid the hype and just wait until the official release, they can. Personally, I'm just tryin' to spread the wealth. Fine people like Cameron Winters and others are tabbing these track by ear, and I'm just making my contribution to those who play the game as a teaching-tool; giving them an opportunity to not only learn the tab, but to get a feel for how Adam Jones plays the song. There are some really cool sounds and techniques he uses, and this game is an awesome opportunity to learn those. If anything, I could try and update the track some more to make it easier to read, or maybe adjust some of the notes to fit the track better, but unless I'm sitting down and playing the track to find imperfections, I'm hoping others phone in to tell me how I can improve it. If you know of how I can make the track better, feel free to tell me - all feedback is welcome! |

So wait... Is this someones cellphone recording? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=akeCFH7YybM Pretty close. It's probably the best we'll have until they release the album on August 30th, unless they release the song as a single sooner. |

Don't necessarily take my tone levels at face value, I didn't spend much time on them, just wanted to get them mixed well enough with the proper song volume to make it playable. Here is a post showing how to do objective loudness measuring to get songs at the same volume as ODLC: http://customsforge....tered/?p=262585 Tones are still very much guess and check though. Thanks again! I went ahead and tried your settings, and it sounds much better, and hit detection is also a lot better. Maybe some time week, I'll further adjust the song volume, but for now, the tone volumes should be better. |

Fun song and good tone design, but those volumes are out of control. Based on loudness analysis the song volume should be -4.7. After changing that and playing around a bit I settled on the tone volumes dist: -26.2, wah: -26.9, delay: -26. If anyone wants to adjust their copy to these settings easily just right-click on the song in CustomsForge Song Manager and click "edit song info." OP I hope you update it because aside from the speaker-blowing levels I like this track. Wow, thanks for the feedback! It's hard for me to gauge how loud it is in comparison to the track, since I don't have any headphones, and I have to keep my speaker volume low where I live. I'll update it today! |
