I used to very slightly boost the track volume on pretty much all my customs before but I got some feedback that they were generally slightly too loud so I tried to leave the volume here as it is (and adjusted the tone volumes accordingly). I might have to just go with my own preference with these. I'll do another check on this and might adjust the volume at some point.

This song is too fast for me anyways if i'm trying to downpick Hey, thanks for the feedback. I was happy with the song volume but I'll try to do another check on it when I get time for creating customs again. Also do you mean that the notes played on low e string are too loud? I'll probably have to see if adjusting the eq on the tone fixes that. And yeah It's pretty fast song on rhythm. I love listening to it but don't really like to play it either after trying to learn it :)

I haven't been able to do much with cdlcs for a while now and not sure when I get the chance again. That said, I started doing Tuleen Ajettu Maa at one point and when I get back to Moonsorrow that's probably what I'm going to do first... that or Jotunheim, I would love to play those at some point :)

Probably not, their discography is pretty huge and I'm mostly going through songs that I find and like from them. I'm currently planning on making On a Stranded Shore and Heart's Song from The Beginning of Times. After that I'm probably going to take a break, at least from Amorphis charts.

I have been wanting to play this song on bass for a while. I'll add the 5-string arrangement for the next update (need to fix couple of things in the guitar arrangements as well).

Artist: Amorphis Title: Magic And Mayhem Date: October 6, 2018 4:46 PM	Thanks for this, it's nice to see more stuff from the Tales album! I played through it couple of times and the chart looks pretty solid. I have some suggestions though: You should add a tone to the lead arrangement. if you don't want to create your own you can import a distortion tone from other songs with the toolkit (some other Amorphis customs might have decent distortion tones). I think the pick scrape at 0:30 mark should have unpitched slide, they should register the actual pick scrapes a bit better. The pinch harmonics on the G string 2nd fret might be wrong, it's a C# note and I didn't manage to get it sound correct on that string. It worked a bit better on the D string (same fret), got the C# but different octave. (This might be just me doing it wrong, I'm still kinda learning pinch harmonics). But yeah, the last two are mostly just nitpicking, nice work and hopefully we'll see more!

I played it for my father, and he loved it and it made his day. I tested out the updated version and it came out great. The audio boost to the backing track and slight lowering of the tone made the mix even better. From me to you, thanks for doing this for me! No problem, I'm glad he liked it as well :)

Do you have other songs planed? Hoping for Failure to come soon :) Failure has pretty great tabs available but I'll need to see if it can work with rocksmith since it might require a 7-string (GCGCGCE-tuning). Other than that I might do Greetings from Ocean Machine at some point. Then I'm probably done with Devin Townsend for a while :).

I'll probably try to do both of those at some point. I think I tried to make Hope once and left it half finished since the tabs I had for it weren't really accurate. I could probably finish it now by myself, will need to revisit that. The day that the world breaks down might be a bit harder since I'm not sure how well it would work with 6-string guitar (might work decently with something like Lead on Drop D and Rhythm on B standard).

But it's gonna be a lot of downtime just to play the solo in rocksmith. It's a great solo though, maybe cut it out of the song and just have a solo version of it? That or separating the guitar parts into E standard (or even drop D) for lead and B standard for Rhythm. I think most of the song could be played with drop D and the parts that go lower than that could played octave higher, with inverted power chords or maybe with octave pedal tone. Wouldn't be the 100% original way but as long as it sounds decent enough and is somewhat playable it shouldn't matter too much I think.

After that I'm thinking of doing Listen to the Waves and/or Across the Rainbow Bridge at some point once I have time :) I'm kinda starting to run low on Ayreon songs that I'd personally like to play and which would work decently with Rocksmith (the new Ayreon song for example would be amazing but kinda hard to adapt for a 6-string guitar unless I separate the solo into a bonus arrangement etc).

Is Ultrastar Creator decent at breaking Finnish words into syllables (or is there something else that could be used to do so)? I never use it for English because it's so bad at it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were better are other languages. If there's something that works I might do them, but otherwise I doubt I'll put in the effort. Nope, Ultrastar creator is even worse for Finnish. Though I haven't even tried to update it for ages so I'm not sure if there would be some kind of support for Finnish today (I doubt it). I usually just run the english syllabification rules for Finnish songs as well and end up fixing most of the syllables manually. (Sorry for the late response, didn't notice the question until now :))

Yeah true, can't really test it myself since I don't own bass and the emulated bass in rocksmith doesn't seem to have the same problems in low tunings. I'll try to make it anyways :)

Edit: in bass that is. Good point, those notes are pretty awkward now that you mention it. I might update and fix it at some point.

Would it be easier (for me) to buy a seven string guitar and only use the top six strings in songs like this? I personally just downtune a 6 string guitar, although I'd probably use 7 string if I had one. Some people use drop pedals which I'd love to have as well. With BEADGB tuning the pedals are kinda awkward though since you'd have to tighten the B string by one half-step.

I'll try to fix it asap. EDIT: I applied the fix, I can't test it since I don't own a bass and if I understood correctly the fix makes emulated bass with guitar unplayable (which it did for me at least and also the original version worked for me when emulated). Let me know how it works out, I'll check back tomorrow! EDIT2: Ignore that previous edit, I was being dumb. I somehow thought that you didn't need to change the tuning in csct. After a cup of morning coffee I think I managed to do it right this time.
