He said he used to own a synth which he would play the piano parts on for his then-wife when the song was new. He's also of the several people I must credit with testing my rocksmith charts. One night he was playing the other version of this and struggling mightily because of how is was made. In many cases my recent charts of Beatles and Eagles have come in response to older charts being bad in some fashion. I have some other Eagles charts floating around but the guitar tones have been the limiting factor.

Date: May 29, 2024 12:33 PM 		Looking at the file I have here I see I've used some older tones. I've since made somewhat better versions of all both the acoustic and bass tones. I'm not sure about the 12 string tone. That might be a moving target. I'm not sure about loudness either; My Epiphone Dot has somewhat weak humbuckers and no matter how much I think the loudness is right it always seems louder or quieter than it should be when others play my charts. If I can find the time I'll try and work on this today though.

Date: July 8, 2023 2:00 AM 		I'm glad you like this chart. The Hollies were often overlooked as a pop / folk group. They are highly underrated though for their very tight sound and close harmonies. Hicks was so talented. He played guitar, banjo AND bass. I made a bass-only custom of The Hollies live preformance of He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother from their Switzerland concert. I plan to remake it at some point b/c I was so new to charting when I made it. It was Tony Hicks' bass playing that intrigued me enough to want to chart it. I also did a version of The Air That I Breathe from the same concert that likewise needs a refresh.

Date: September 4, 2021 10:59 PM 		I'm at a loss about the flagged / blocked issues other than that chrome smart screen is being overzealous giving a false positive.   Please try again.  I've regenerated the file in the DLC builder.   Maybe something was being false detected in the arrangement IDs. Also, pcloud was down earlier this week. I have experienced issues where they had invalid website certificates that created issues.IDK why it would only affect this song,  but I've taken all steps I can.

Date: June 15, 2021 9:25 AM 		@McZero, I often have proiblems making sure chords are correct and will generally not finish unless I'm satisfied with chords, notes and not timing.Right now I've been working on All I've Got To Do and It Won't Be Long for at least a month.   Both have existing CF uploads that are old and also straight of a tab book.  They are not correct in many aspects when matched to the music. There are note and timing abiguities that I must solve before I can finish charts for each.    One in the bass chords and timing.  The other in the actual notation.  I own a pre-Fender discontinued version of Riffstation which has real-time filtering and hi/lo pass.   The best part of Riffstation is I can export the filtered audio to GoPlayAlong and "see" the spectrograph of the notes.  But even then those two songs are vexing me.    I'm aware of RS+ (I signed up for the beta) and I love the idea of the charter portion.  Some of us here as CF as charters will probably buy into it just b/c of that very thing.What I'm worried of is that they will still have many artists such as The Beatles catalog missing.  Since as yet no list of artists has been revealed (I asked)this a concern that they won't get rights to songs that I like.     I wonder how we as a RS community could go about lobbying artists to license their music?Dhanni Harrison was reportedly instrumental in bringing his three co-equal Beatles' rights partners (Yoko, Paul and Ringo) to Rockband.  Wonder if he could be asked to help us out with rights for Rocksmith Plus too?

Anyone who also has Bernix version of this song should use CFSM to fix duplicate DLCKey issue.I believe the two DLCKeys both contain full song name "HeyBuldog"  Editing that portion should fix the conflict. Hopefully Slideaway will see this message too and edit the custom to edit the DLC key accordingly.

Date: March 27, 2021 10:55 PM 		Let It Be would be a challenge since there is little guitar until the solo and latter verses/outro. Sure you can strum chords for guitar, but it would be kinda meh until the solo part. I might do it though b/c there are three possible solos.  Album, Solo and Naked. The new DLC builder tool lets me use different audio on different paths.So that might even be possible to chart all three versions in a single CDLC.I have other songs in the pipe though.  If I do make Let It Be it might not be for a while.

Rocksmith is supposed to be a learning game so I hope that is what my charts allow. If a part is complex I will try to explain how since in some instances there are no facility to tell a person playing the song. I cannot take full credit on how to play those arpeggios.  I watched a youtube video and the upclose cam was an epiphany. This one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYXZbp81LUA   The isolated lead guitar with the second cam is extremely helpful in showing correct fingering. In general that YT channel has high quality covers and are second to none in their covers being accurate to the records.

Even as charted I cannot play it myself b/c I have played it outside rocksmith for too long in a similar manner to how Mike Pachelli shows it. That somewhat sloppy strum on the end of each section instead of clean picking is how I play it and relearning it to play that part clean is proving tough.

I'm happy you enjoyed it.   It is a great song. I'm also working on Sunshine Superman which is proving to be a chore to sync correctly.   No disrespect to RSBass I'm sure he made his chart by ear and worked hard, but there were some issues in that chart I found unnecessarily difficult to play hence making my own.

Date: March 21, 2020 10:17 AM 		The lyrics and music are just sad and haunting and yet the song is for all it's moody-ness is wonderful.  The solo is amazing.   That chart literally came togther yesterday.  The original transcriber did an amazing job to be accurate and it was. I tweaked it but it was 99% his work.   It's an interesting story of how this song came to be.   And how it was also the catalyst for the death of Tom Evans.  It was over royalties of this song he argued with his former band mate Joey Molland and then like their badmate Pete Ham did, he hung himself in 1983.  Pete is also part of "the 27 club" of musicians who died before turning 28 as he died 3 days before his 28th birthday.   Like Pete wrote in his suicide note "may Stan Polley burn in hell" and I hope he is.  Badfinger has such a tragic story.   Forthcoming is another Badfinger song Better Days which I've been at for 2 weeks.

Date: March 2, 2020 8:56 PM 		True.  In the Let It Be/ Get Back sessions when The Beatles brought in Billy Preston, after they jam for a few minute John is clearly hear saying something like "we need to make sure all these instruments are in tune.... with each other"   And yeah,  You Really Got Me always sounds (and Dave Davies LOOKS in the live performances) like it's a sliding power chord F5 to G5 but not in Rocksmith.  Slide=MISS MISS MISS MISS everytime.  It requires you to change notes w/o a hint of sliding or it fails. I never have played the whole thing through on guitar which is sad.  I've 100% is on bass though. :P   BTW.  Check my next posting.  I just finished All Day and All of The Night ;)

Dissonance?: I did some work on your file and submitted it to SonicApi.com. According to them your song*.ogg file is key="G:maj" tuning_frequency="436.22. (There are other websites that can do this.) Knowing that, you can adjust the pitch in Audacity to A440 before you start on the custom. That gets rid of a bit of dissonance and overcomes continual retuning in play. I'm not asking you to fix this one. Maybe next time. Most Kinks stuff is off concert pitch + or -.  Interestingly most Beatles is spot on. Maybe George Martin's influence, I suspect.  Thanks again. Cheers, mczero WOW!  I need to check out SonicApi.com.  I'm working on All Day and All of The Night and in GoPlayAlong the spectrograpic analysis shows my notes are 1/2 step flatter than the music but pitching them where it would nominally be correct sounds wrong too.  I've tried messing with the cent adjustment settings but could not hear much change. Thanks you have taken my ability to correct audio or even just analyze it to a new level :)   And I checked the checked All Day and All of The Night.  It's at 448.22hz which I pitch corrected in Audacity.  Now I need to figure out the "real" bass line since correct pitch mean I can see the notation is off.   And wow Kinks music is all over the place as for tuning reference.   You Really Got Me is tuned A461 and it's an Official ofc.  Tired of Waiting A436.22 and All Day and All of The Night A448.22.     Seems like they might have had some tuning issues w/ their guitars or the studio  equipment was not as good as EMI.   Thanks again for that information. :)

I've loved this version since I first heard it ages ago.  Once I got into trying out bass I got more aware of how good it was. I wasn't able to find the version w/o the laughing.  It shows on YouTube search, but YT farms the words showing lots of not-relevent hits plus a few that goes to videos removed.

Date: November 25, 2018 4:14 PM 		Fantastic!  Thanks for the great work.  I love this song and the charting seems solid.   One suggestion if you are open to it:  The rhythm guitar chart is cluttered and hard to read with the rapid fire chords.  If you only show the chord notes on the note highway when the chord changes and the transparent block when the chord is strummed, it would be a lot easier to read.   Again, thanks for this.  I'll try to work on the cluttered rhythm section.  The 1/8 note strums are usually kinda unweildy to play though but I understand what you mean.  It can be hard to read and react to changes.
