(or is it my PC glitching out?) Also, instead of calling the tuning A# Drop G# you should change it to Bb Drop Ab. (They're both the same tuning, but Bb Drop Ab is an option in the drop-down menu for tuning) Great job on the charting though!

Artist: Dream Theater Title: Disappear Date: June 28, 2015 4:37 AM	Just one comment on the song. It sounds magnificent and it is the first DT song where I don't need DD. Maybe I'm mistaken but the tuning of the guitar in Drop D is not really necessary, as there are only a few powerchords on the low E string, which can be played easily also in standard tuning. Maybe I'm wrong, it is the first time when I do a technical comment, so don't throw stones at me :P The sound, however, it is really really good, sad, so enjoy the saddest DT song :) You are not mistaken, I agree with you 100%. The reason I left it as drop D is because one of my other CDLCs had a similar problem where it could be played in a more convenient tuning without changing the feel of the song. At the time I decided to upload in the convenient tuning, but then multiple users commented and messaged about how it isn't exactly how it should be played. So I ended up giving in and updating it. I just don't know if people will accept this song not being in the proper tuning (Even though it doesn't really make the song more difficult). But seeing as you and I both agree on this, I will make a bonus arrangement. Also I think I would be an asshole if I threw stones at anyone just for giving there opinion on something. Especially since it says "Any Feedback is Appreciated" in my release notes. Thank you for giving some feedback. :)

Now my guitar is much better than me, but I will still enjoy every single song of DT that I can get my hands on, in my lousy way of playing, so I'm glad to be the first to say a big THANK YOU. After I'll finish work today I enjoy the most depressing Dream Theater song. Just tested both this song and Deathray and they both are synced nicely and all of the notes seem correct. The only issue which I also had when first dealing with "Open C Tuning" is the tuning in Rocksmith is "CGCGGE" when it is supposed to be "CGCGCE". So I think all you need to do is make sure that in the Toolkit the tuning is (-4, -2, -2, 0, 1, 0) this did happen to me before. The same problem is happening with Deathray. Also maybe turn up the song volume 1 or 2 dB. Other then that it all seems good. Thanks for this, I didn't realize Devin was coming out with a new album.

LOL, I think 99.9% of the people downloading this are just planing on messing around. But there is still that 0.1% of people that are Godly at Tapping and Sweep picking.

Very useful for learning the parts, excellent idea, when I got lost at the beginning trying to match at least right hand tapping, by looking at the tempo I could plan better how it should go, when to start, and so on. If I'm not mistaken, when you riff repeat a section, as it must happen when you wanna get serious learning, it turns off lyrics. Also, to add a comment on your adaptation to 6 strings. It becomes very unfriendly on the melodic from bottom to high notes tapping and HOPOs part (kind of middle, dare I say chorus)... with the 8 strings you'll be doing mostly vertical movements (changing between strings), while in your adaptation the hands go vertically AND heavily horizontal (fret number wise... not sure I'll make any sense here). So... it doesn't feel natural... however... nothing in this band feels natural. Maybe we'll get a video playthrough of someone doing this right on RS2014. I don't know of any way to fix the lyrics to stay on during riff repeat, I'll try some stuff. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you are referring to 2:30 in the music video shown above? The original Tab was: E -12-14-15-19 B -12-14-15-17-19- G -9-11-12-16-18- D -9-11-14-16- A -7-9-10-14-16- D -9-11-12-14-16- B 5-7-12-14- But on a 6-String is transposed to: E -12-14-15-19 B -12-14-15-17-19- G -9-11-12-16-18- D -9-11-14-16- A -7-9-10-14-16- D 2-4-9-11-9-11-12-14-16- The notes are all the same, but this is simply the only way (I could think of) that this could be played on a 6-String Guitar. If somebody plays a 7 or 8 String than by all means play the original tab, the game will accept those notes because they're the same. So to keep it short it was a necessary modification to get it to work on a 6 String guitar. A playthrough video would be a amazing, but I think only Tosin could play it correctly.

Tones sound ok, yours is more straightforward drive, the lead is much heavier on effects. One thing is for sure, those tapping phrases in the middle sure use more presence, because if you're no good at tapping, you don't tap the fret that hard (or that precisely in the fret) and it doesn't sound out, maybe a fast compressor or fast delay may give it more feedback. Syncing... well, it seems to be alright, to be sure I would have to know how to play it (impossible) or at least do riff repeater in 20% speed to figure it out (possible). Anyways, very solid sync it seems. For anyone out there who're going to try this, be aware, be very humble. It may crush your self-esteem. Thanks for the feedback, I'll look into improving the tones, but it doesn't sound like an emergency. Also, what do you think of the beat counter for each measure in the top left?

But there must have been a problem with the tone and it is causing an issue where it disables all tones until the game is restarted. It is probably something as simple as giving the wrong name in the toolkit that doesn't match EOF.

Eof corrected this to open but should have been above 22. I cant seem to correct these anymore... Do you know how to set to higher frets? I never had this problem before. I think in EOF, click "Track" then click "Pro Guitar" then click "Set number of Frets/Strings". Set max Fret Value to 24. I think that should work, but I don't know for sure. Good Luck

The lead works fine except for the outro solo, for some odd reason there are some random open notes that clearly shouldn't be there. Maybe just recheck the tab for the solo 'cause I'm sure that they aren't the correct notes. Other than that, it is spot on.

The Rhythm plays nicely and is synced nicely. Also at 4:10 (In original version without leading silence) the rhythm is playing a handful of sustained notes, you must of forgot to set them to Tremolo, because it is playing fast at that part. I'll try it again when it is updated, thanks for your work!

The sync is perfect the whole way through, and you have all the correct tones exactly where they need to be. I guess the only thing that could improve this even more would be to add Arpeggio Statuses in the intro. Other than that it's flawless, great job dude! This is my second favourite song on Metropolis, next to "Home". Thanks for charting all of this dream theater, especially Metropolis, which is my favourite album of all time.

Date: June 24, 2014 7:52 PM	one of my fav songs of all time. buuuuuuuuuuut its out of sync at most parts (like really really out of sync) and the tabbing is really really wrong. also tuning should be "Open C"I don't know what you're talking about. The sync is perfect throughout the whole song, I always slow it down half speed just to make sure. Also, I do realize that Devin Townsend plays in "Open C" and not "D Drop C", but keep in mind that this song only requires the 3 thickest strings and in both tunings they are "CGC". So it clearly isn't a big issue. Maybe at some point I'll create an alternate version in "Open C". I see "D drop C" as a more convenient tuning than "Open C". Also, don't just say the tabbing is really really wrong but not state where exactly it is wrong because it all seems correct to me. Even comparing it to the above video that "majkul" posted, it is exactly the same except for some of the lead parts which I didn't include in the CDLC. I do appreciate CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, but I hate trolling. Please don't troll!

Artist: Dream Theater Title: Octavarium Date: June 4, 2014 7:07 PM	The reason for the DD bars not appearing is directly correlated to the amount of sections and phrases your custom has. I had the same issue with my 30 min Reverend Bizarre custom and to get it to work, I had to extremely reduce the amount of sections and phrases in EoF. The DDC also adds quite a few phrases if you use the default length and don't set up the phrases yourself beforehand. I'm not really sure of the limit, but I think between 50 to 70 sections and phrases (counted together) is about the max you can set up before it's not displayed anymore. ingame anymore. So if you want to include DD you will have to make the sections and phrases very long which maybe a problem later on if someone wants to practice a specific section and can only select a much bigger one. But I guess for those who want DD this won't be a major issue. Just make sure not to remove the NDD version. :DThank you very much, I will try removing some sections and increasing the length of phrases. Depending on if there is a drastic difference in length then I'll decide whether or not to make a second download without DD.

For instance, during Medicate, the progression for the strumming sounds like it should go straight down, e -> B -> G -> D rather than e -> G -> B -> G, and that the second part of each measure, the B should be open, not fret 3 (basically alternating). Also during the solo at the end, some of those one and a half step bends...I can't hear those in the song at all, and it just sounds like the note that should be there is just that fret without a bend. Just a few things I noticed, let me know what you think.I shall have a look, I will try to fix this soon.

Best of luck creating War Inside My Head, that section is insane!I once started that undertaking but stopped because of difficulties transposing the bass to four strings. Not sure how far you've come or if you even include the bass, but you'll see what I mean when you get there. Transcribing to 4-string may be impossible. BUT, you can chart it in a guitar track and utilize 5-strings, if you really have to you can chart it to a 6-string bass part. Best to use the least amount of strings as feasibly possible though. Message me if you need help with this. I'm almost done, just gotta create tones and vocals. But to answer you about the bass, I transposed it all to a 4-string bass and any of the few parts that require the 6th string got transposed up an octave, it's all good.
