Date: September 8, 2018 10:04 AM 		Goin' through my CDLC on Lead and Bass.   Lead: -There's some guitar fills thrown into this song (in one channel or another) that aren't charted on Lead or Rhythm. -I think the verse strumming pattern is not incorrect, but off on its timing some. Like right now it's (accents formatted) 1+a 2+a 3+a 4+a when I'm pretty sure it's 1 a+2 a+3 a+4 a+.    -Speaking of the verse rhythm, I think the unmuted chords should probably be marked as accents. -There's a pick slide not marked as such.   Bass: -There's a lot of li'l variations that are missing if you listen while letting it go through Riff Repeater, like I think almost every transition between eighths on a fret during verses have at least one extra note before the change. -The very end is mischarted, it pulls off to open E well before the strum is charted, and it just stays open until the bass cuts out, no 5th fret again. -Minor visual issue where the tails of notes are bumping into the next which impacts legibility a bit in my opinion. -I don't say this often, but the tone could be muddier for this song.   If you want to do another version of it, I'm willing to help explore detailing the lead and bass more as well as breaking the vocals up into syllables.     You'll be there a long time if you are trying to find inaccuracies in my customs. I will do it but it's not a priority for me at the moment. I suggest you chase it up in a few weeks as my memory's not what it used to be.   I don't mean to hassle you, but if you do get the time, I would highly appreciate it if the bass part gets fixed.   Bass hopefully fixed now dude. I'm about 50% through a guitar part but it's gonna take much more time

I'm suprised that no-one else has made any ( Travis excluded ). I have a backlog of songs to finish but struggle trying to juggle everything going on in my life. I currently have 30+ plus songs to finish including 7 distillers songs ( Die On A Rope , Love Is Paranoid, Oh Serena, Sick Of It All , The World Comes Tublin Down , Young Girl , The Young Crazed Peeling ) , they are mostly playable but need polishing and some changes.  If you want to make your own I suggest you read and digest the Tutorials HERE. If you need any help just ask , we are all a very helpful bunch here.

My advice for future charts is to NOT import the sections from the GP file.   Unfortunately I dont have that excuse , I stopped importing sections after my 1st disaster. I just dont know why some phrases work and some dont - I am incapable of understanding the theory.

Yes, I can se that in the cover vid, but if you look at how Mike plays it in the live video, it's a slide, he doesn't pick the notes. Also, the album version sounds like it's a slide, but I guess it could be "slidepicked" also. I wont be bickering about this anymore though, the chart is quite awsome  :D Thanks again!   You've totally confused me now dude. :D

Dont even remember about Hall oft mirrors.... Dont know what "changed my tune" means... Plesse dont bow before my status... I dont have any more time for making dlc...so its not very accurate. But youre right... Im fickle... Dont think thats bad thing when it comes to customs.   No need to apologize. Critique is not neccesarily a bad thing. "changed your tune" just means that your view on things have changed. Sad that you have no time , making customs is big time suck. With customs you can either go for accuracy or playability or a happy medium, so it stands to reason not everyone will be satisfied.

Date: September 9, 2015 3:01 PM 		    I noticed they were loud when I was making them , one of the last tweaks I did was to make the music track louder , tbh I didn't check them as I thought they would be fine ( changed them from -7 to -12 db ) , I'll have a look at them again when I get time , cheers for the info. For the song volumes higher numbers are actually louder (as opposed to how it works with tone volumes. Couldn't tell you why), so -2 will be significantly louder than -7, which will in turn be significantly louder than -12. If you changed the song volumes from -7 to -12 you will have actually made the songs really quiet. I find -7 to be pretty quiet for most things. Many of my song volumes end up somewhere in the -3 to -5 range, but some songs that were mastered especially quietly I've put up to 0 (which is as high as you can go without amplifying the original audio track).   Bugger! Thanks dude.

I can tweak my own tone volume so you don't have to change anything for me. Just letting you know my opinion. The rest seem fine to me. I never knew you could change the volume of the music tracks. Seeing as it's right out in the open, you can see that I obviously have no idea what I'm doing haha   That makes things a little easier for me.  For me , the majority of the time I listen to my guitar via an amp at a stupid level especially when testing . If the missus moans then I turn the music volume to 0 instead. I think it's called Lead Guitarist syndrome - You have to sound louder than everyone else lol!

I can't agree with you there , I like them both as much as each other but listen to rancid more. I'm working on Fall Back Down at the moment ( which is doing my head in ), I may then do To Have And To Have Not.   The second Bastards album is my favourite thing Lars has done, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for some songs from that. Probably cos I'm not a big ska fan, I prefer straight punk.   I understand. You probably prefer Rancid's early stuff then. I was a bit a of stage diver when I was younger and at a Rancid gig I managed to get on on stage in the first 30 seconds , I was very drunk and didn't think I'd make the gap , so took a few steps back for a run up. Big Mistake as Big Jay Bastard collared me and was throwing punches like there was no tomorrow. I tried to dive off stage with Big Jay hanging on to me and we both fell into the pit. Tim jumped in after us and the crowd just started grabbing at his guitar ripping the strings off. Needless to say the gig was stopped for a bit and I was kicked out.  Lars wife , Stephanie was flogging some of his old home made shirts on ebay and I managed to get one along with a personalized signed photo which said I was forgiven for the gig in Bristol lol!

Date: April 20, 2014 7:15 PM 		 You just have to mess around with the bpm to whatever is most accurate. Sometimes what the site says isn't correct. You add tone in the RSToolkit. Just download a tone from the link I gave you that you would assume that would go good with the song. You then Press 'Add' in the Tone section and then click the xml file that you downloaded and it'll input all the gear (Pre-Pedal, Cab, etc.). Put the Volume at about -26 (with the individual tone) and the song volume to about -6 (above the arrangements)  Cheers Dude

Syncing works via beat markers not via moving notes and it's by far easier that way; the different arrangements will be synced to each other as well then. Reading the tutorials and watching the videos on creating customs should help you out quite a bit. I advise to work through them if you haven't done so already and if you did and you still messed up, then you might have misunderstood something.Then I guess I pretty much messed the whole thing up. I'll try again by moving the beat markers. A good practice is to set the correct bpm (with adjust notes), set the time signature (look at the gp tab and it'll tell you. 4/4 is usual), and turn on grid snap to 1/32 or 1/48. This helps shorten the time SIGNIFICANTLY with syncing. Pressing F5 in EOF does alot of good, as it shows where alot of beats typically occur. Also, it is important to have a tone, whether or not you can hear it, because it usually causes problems. Thanks for the info dude, I do all the above except have a tone , I'm not sure how to do that. This song was  difficult to sync , perhaps it was just the gp tab I used ??
