Looking forward to playing this, I started it a few months back, but was having issues with the tempo so put it on hiatus for a bit and never got back to it, so this saves me a job!   Thanks   I hope you enjoy, and I hope it's close to the real thing. The tempo was a bit of a problem. One trick is that there is a tempo change between the intro and the verse. I almost didn't catch that.

Thanks for some Northern Pikes - finally!  I wanted to do "she ain't pretty" but just can't find bass tab for it. I might start it on guitar and just see if I can work out the bass line, but I love that song.

Title: If I Had a Million Dollars
Date: September 13, 2014 11:39 PM
I saw them in Portland, Oregon once. It was a blast. The audience always brings boxes of Kraft Dinner (the real stuff, not just any mac & cheese) and when they sing that line, everyone throws the boxes at the stage. The guys were trying to get everyone to just drop the boxes in donation bins so it wouldn't get trashed. I had no idea! What fun!

I was not familiar with this band but I am a fan now. This one is great fun to play. Thanks for the hard work.   Thanks Mac66!! I was hoping a few people would discover this band when I first did the bass line for this song. It is a lot of fun to play this one, and it had been years since I played it myself.

Just had a play through on rhythm...nicely done....I think a slight volume boost on the guitar would benefit this custom a bit though. Once again. thank you.   Thanks for the feedback! It's on the to-do list and will be done in the next update.

I downloaded the PC version of this but it's not showing up in my list.  Any ideas???  RS2014.   The package id usually has Cherub Rock, which most of us have. This songs lists "PACKAGE ID DAMMIT 206103", which you do not have. You need to use the "Custom Song Toolkit" to change the package id to one you posses - the release notes above also explain this. The CDLC FAQ's also explain this potential issue and how to correct it.

Ah! Guitar!   Would have added guitar, but the tabs are probably a little off, so we'll need a guitar player with the ability to correct by ear to add guitar to this song.  Hopefully someone will offer ...

Thanks for the update! I had the easy part for this one. Don't forget to mark the bass instrument so new people will see that it has bass. I am going to remove my bass-only version so we only have one version of the song out there now.

Considering it. I read the discussion, but haven't gone to the trouble of setting something else up. I want my cdlc files to be separate from my personal/business systems, so I will set up one that doesn't try to force all my accounts into the same account, like google. Anyway, I will get there.

I reached (seems closer) that tone (2:13 original video of the song) with an octave up effect  and some different settings  with this new tone i made but i'm not sure if is better to use it for the entire song or as a switching tone at that point of the song (in the first part of the song with arpeggio the actual tone sounds good), or maybe is possible to do a bonus arrangement with this tone so you can choose.  Yes, there is definitely a tone change at 2:13 (the guitar solo). I didn't catch that, but it seems to change from a classical guitar guitar to an acoustic with metal strings. I added your new tone as a tone change - I think it sounds better if the tones change with the song. I can't test the guitar tones, of course, but I tested the bass to make sure that the file still works.

... I tried/made  a sort of acoustic tone for the guitar... That's awesome and thank-you for the help! I can't even hear the guitar tones because I don't have a guitar. I just grabbed an acoustic guitar from another song as a starting point. The guitar in the song sounds like a classical guitar to me with nylon strings. It is hard to get that exact sound, but I'm sure your sound is closer than mine was. The only thing is that in your video it looked like there were 2 studio effects racks, but you only showed the Paragraphic EQ. Did I miss one, or was there only one? Anyway, I have updated the song with your suggestions. Give it a try and let me know how it sounds. Thanks!

Title: To Be With You
Date: July 7, 2014 9:27 PM
thanks for this song and for great Bass songs !!! keep em' coming !can you do some more Victor Wooten or/and Marcus Miller plz ? The short answer is, "yes". I am finishing Sting's "Fields of Gold" right now, then will probably do another Wooten song. I was thinking of doing his version of Donna Lee - I just have to figure out what to do with the 60 seconds of chord vamping he does. I was thinking I would just edited that part out and stick with the main song so it doesn't get too crazy. I don't have any music of Miller's. I might look into buying a music book for his stuff, but I have a lot of other songs I want to get to too. I also have a 2 or 3 more Mr. Big songs I want to get to.

Whar LEAD GUITAR, WHAR!?!?!? Seriously, any Hip is AWESOME, but want some lead guitar too! Thanks, but I don't play guitar, and the tab out there is in pieces, so I don't know if I can do this one. I hope someone else will step up to do the guitar part.

Thanks for the BNL, i also can't believe there isn't more BNL or Tragically Hip on here! Bring it on! :) Actually, "Blow At High Dough" has been on my "wanna do list" for a while now. I started it and will post it soon. Again, it is only the bass line and vocals, but at least we'll have a start.

Hmmm.  It seems just slightly out of tune for me.Anyone else having that issue?  :-| If I had $1,000,000, I would buy me an ear!  You are correct. I transcribed this directly from sheet music that listed it in G. That is true for guitar, but with a capo at the second fret, which moves it to the key of A. When I moved my notes up to A - gee, it sounded better.  I'll try moving it to A and see if that works better. Thanks for the help.

Wow, this is an awesome song and you did an excellent job of charting it.  The only thing is, I am not sure if it is just my bass, but it seems a bit too bright compared to what she played. You can probably give it a "muddier" tone by raising the three lowest (1st 3) bands on the 8-band eq to about 5 or 6db.  It'll be a while before I'll be able to get a good playthrough on this. Not sure about perfect ... that's a lot of notes to get right. Thanks for posting this!!

can you change/improve the custom tone plz ? Yes, I noticed last night when I was playing with it that the tone is horrible.  Wooten uses a 4x10 and a 1x15 Hartke cabinet and a tube/transistor hybrid Hartke head with a clean setting. You can't select 2 cabinets in RS, so I went with a 4x10 cabinet.  I was trying to model the look, but for some reason, it always sounds like the compression is on high. I will try to find another combination based on sound rather than trying to model his look. I will try to get that updated today.

Thanks. I've been a fan of his for a lot of years. I have the "Grove Workshop" video, and got his new book, "The Best of Victor Wooten" and got him to sign it at a bass clinic last weekend. Let me know how it goes. I can't play the song yet, but I am hoping that getting it into RS will help me learn it - but I don't know how this one will work out in RS. It might be a little much for RS to keep up with. Would love to know if it works though.

please please the whole album "Ten Summoner's Tales" one of my favourite albums of all time  Thanks for the encouragement.  I have a couple of other projects to do, but I am planning on adding at least "Heavy Cloud, No Rain" and "She's Too Good For Me".  I might even do "Fields of Gold".  It will probably take couple of weeks before I get to them, but hopefully it won't be too long.  I also want to add guitars so everyone can play.

I fixed the beginning so there is a normal lead-in now.  You might want to re-download it again.  Sorry for the double-update on the same day, but at I think it is ok for bass now.
