no problem you are the fucking man. yeh that whole album is great.. introduce me to the whole super down tuned thing. my favorites are the mission impossible tracks but i definitely wouldn't complain for vanilla sky 'just because im so alone.. doesnt mean i cant miss home' <3 Yeah. Right now since I only have tabs for Eyes Wide Shut and The Color of Money, I'm gonna end up doing one of them just because I can get it out fast. I'll do Vanilla Sky later on once I have a few more tracks out and feel comfortable just taking time off to work on it, since I'll have to tab it out myself. But I wanna do it, just because I love that song lol. I'd do Mission Impossible if I had the tabs, but I don't =(   But thanks lol. I swear I might just do Losin' It for the hell of it rofl. It's literally just open notes the entire time essentially lol, but still, that "BURY YOUR FUCKIN DEAD!" lyric always gets me lol.

Woo can't wait to give this one a run!  I love this album, can't believe this is the first track anyone has done off of it.   the more atreyu the better thanks! Lol well I suppose you guys might be happy to hear that I'm getting ready to do Five Vicodin Chased with a Shot of Clarity next I think. Well I'm definitely going to do it, I'm just not sure if I'm going to do it, or A Vampire's Lament first, since Vampire is already tabbed out and I could get it out faster lol.   Either way both of those songs are coming soonish...

Thanks bro! Looking forward to this one!  Np man. But yeah, just figure I'll let you guys know, I'm working on Demonology and Heartache right now (got it all tabbed, just gotta sync it and etc.), so it should be out in the next day or so...   EDIT: Actually, I had a bit more time than expected, so I went ahead and knocked it out. I'm not even sure if you guys are interested lol, but I figured I'd let you know it's out...   http://customsforge.com/topic/20304-demonology-and-heartache/#entry158736

awesome! thanks for adding rhythm No problem man. I try to always add Lead and Rhythm on my tracks (even though I play bass lol). Actually I'm planning on adding the standard "3rd Atreyu guitar" lol (because they seem to ALWAYS record their guitar solos on a separate 3rd guitar track) but tbh, I'm not the greatest at figuring out how to export "bonus" tracks. I guess once I figure that out I'll try and release that.   I think I'm gonna try and put out either Demonology and Heartache, or Five Vicodin Chased With a Shot of Clarity next if I can find decent guitar tabs of either...

dope man byd 4 life!! couple off beauty and the breakdown would be great thx :) Yeah, if I can find any guitar tabs. I tab out the bass myself, but I can't tab guitar lol. So if I can't get guitar, I can't really do the tracks.   I found a tab for House of Straw, but it's missing the fucking solo of all things. And that's like the only song I could find from that album in particular, so I can't really do much from it. I apologize. If I find a better tab, I'll def do it up in the future for you!   In the meantime though, I'll atleast try and get more songs out from Cover Your Tracks... (I so wanna do one for Losin' It, even though it'd be the easiest song ever rofl) prob gonna do Eyes or Color or something tho. I'm DEF gonna do Vanilla Sky though, since it's my Fav song by them, but I have to hand tab the whole song, so it'll take a while (since I have the paper tabs, but no guitar pro tabs for it).

Sweet. Will Knee deep be coming soon?     I see your knee deep updating the songs. Lol. No. Now I'm knee deep in Knee Deep. Once I finish tabbing the bass out, expect it!     Knee Deep is officially out!   I figured i'd update and let you guys who were waiting for it know it's finally complete!   http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/knee-deep-r14439     I'm confused, is the DOOM as in the game? Please let me know. Also if it is can you to the song by HEXEN called Knee Deep In The Dead, it's about DOOM. It's Doom as in, DOOM, the EP. It's just the title of one of the band's first EP releases afaik, and has nothing to do with the id software game lol.

Thanks man! I will die if something from Sun Eater is posted (with bass). Lol. Well I'm a bassist, so bass is pretty much my focus. Guitar stuff is just kinda a freebie add-on if the tabs are available tbh.   But tbh with you, I'm not really familiar with JfaC's new stuff, so idk if I'll put any of it out. I'm not saying that I won't. I'll check some songs out and if I find one that I like with tabs available, I might do it up. But atm, my focus is their older (Demo 04' and Doom EP) stuff. Actually right now I'm just kind of trying to polish all the CDLCs I have out right now, before I release anything new.   Also:   NEW UPDATE TO VERSION 4.0! As far as I'm concerned atm, the bass tab is essentially perfect. Or well, good enough. There are probably some timing issues, but none big enough that I could even really notice that they made a difference in my own playthrough. So enjoy!

Which one did you use if I may ask? No instead of the triplet there is just one eighth note   Actually I'm pretty sure the TABS are the same, just the location I acquired them from was indeed different. (because they both have "outro" spelled wrong like that in that position).   Also, OH. I get what you're saying now. I thought you meant the part before, with obvious triplets, and I kept thinking "uh, those are definitely there".   But are you certain they're in the outro as well? Now that I'm 100% concentrating on it, I honestly can't tell if they're triplets at the end, or short sustains. The actual recording seems ambiguous. So I checked some live performances... But in some of the live footage I'm looking at here, they rather sound like short sustains,(Check out the Live at Nightmare fest footage) but in others, they do indeed sound like triplets. I can't tell if that's because the bass if overpowering the guitar in some recordings, making it sound like there are only 8th notes (because the bass plays 8th notes, not triplets, 100% certain).   I honestly don't know what is "correct" here. The guys I work with on guitar for these kinds of things (I try to get a guitarist to look things over to make sure things are as close to authentic as possible) didn't really say anything about this issue, so I'm on the fence...

I usually add sections in EOF with shift+s ...thats the only way I know. Be sure to have "also as Rocksmith phrase" checked   If you used this one :http://tabs.ultimate..._guitar_pro.htm I see that the triplets(which are defenitely played also during the slwoer outro) are both missing in this chart in both Lead and Rythm.... I know its kind of trivia.. just wanted to say it :-) no hard feelings   If you listen closely you will hear it...   I'll remember that!   Also that isn't where I got my tab sadly.   But about the triplets, are there just sustains there? What exactly is the issue? Because if there are sustains instead, that's an issue that has been popping up in my CDLC recently (EoF not recognizing tremolo picking from GP5) and should be fixed. If not, what exactly is happening? I thought I had everything set up correctly, but I play bass, so you have to forgive me if the guitar sections aren't 100%.

Just been playing Lead for the first time as I was away on holidays... Its so much fun :-) Thanks very much!!   Just wanted to say that there are only two parts selectable in riff repeater.... everything before the outro and the outro... could you maybe add more sections(Maybe they are only selectable in bass and you forgot to  ceckbox it for all parts)?? I could practice the song more thoroughly like that:-)    In the outro/last section the triplets are missing(like they are played druing the bars before the outro just faster)  Sometimes I think its a little out of sync... but cant say exactly as I cant select specific sections.....   Cheers and thanks again very much!   No problem man. My pleasure.   As for the riff repeater.... Tbh I don't know how to add sections. I thought I did, but lately my last few CDLC's sections, and thus, riff repeaters, haven't been working properly at all.   I can try to figure out what's going on, and why it's not sectioning the song up properly, but I can't make any promises on that front.   As for the tab itself, I'm pretty sure it's correct. You might be mixing up the lead and rhythm (sadly I couldn't import my rhythm tab for this song though), and I am aware that it's a bit out of sync by a couple milliseconds here and there. If I find the time, I'll probably go back through and recheck all of my CDLCs and stuff for sync issues.   Also! If you weren't aware, right now I've got a contest going on! If you'd like to enter you should go check out the (few) rules on the first page. The rules are in the comments sections, but enlarged.   Thanks!

I like the idea. I'll submit a score for it today. I feel like I shouldn't enter however. After helping you with the toning and stuff, I've played this song like 10-15 times already, so it's basically memorized. I don't mean to be cocky, but I feel like I'll win probably by default. We'll see how the contest goes lol. If it even gets off it's feet haha. Hell, I was gonna submit a score for the contest just for fun (I mean I obviously can't win anything lol) so...   Idk. I just wanted to do something different. Originally I wasn't even gonna offer any "prize" or anything, but I figured I might as well for people who might want an incentive for winning.   But don't be shy about it guys! Since there are two categories, there are automatically gonna be two winners! So there are two chances to win!

(though I wish he utilized more of his bass' strings, since most songs are all on the low C and G strings haha.)     If you ever get to making any Sun Eater songs, you'll be happy with Nick's work. Every string is highly utilized. The bass on Sun Eater is the best bass they've ever had on their albums. I'm both happy and horrified to hear that. lol.   PLEASE READ (Potential Contest Information!):   Hey guys, I had a cool idea! (Skip down a bit if you're not interested in my rambling).   I don't know if anyone at all will even be interested (or if anyone will even really see this since most people don't routinely revisit CDLC threads) but I was thinking about some way to incorporate my most popular CDLC into some fun kind of contest. And this is, without a doubt, my most popular CDLC ever, so it's the obvious choice for this sort of thing.   So I was thinking... I've seen some other threads, fun little "competitions", where people play certain songs in Score attack mode and they see who can get the highest score.   I was thinking perhaps that we could have a little contest and see who's the best at this song so far! Obviously as the creator, I can't actually enter, though I might post an entry just for fun.   But basically, for all of you guys out there who are interested (and for all of you out there wondering "well what do I get if I win?), here are the rules:   Entry Rules You must submit either a playthrough video of the latest version of Entombment of a Machine in Score Attack mode, or a screenshot of your Score Attack "recap" (the screen that shows your score) of Entombment by March 20th, 2015. (Though the date itself might chance depending on how the contest idea is received).    Contest Rules On March 20th, 2015, the contest will close. The winner (whom ever has the highest score) in each category (of Bass and Guitar), gets to pick the next CDLC song I'll chart*.   *Since there will be (no matter what happens) two winners, ultimately who gets their CDLC first (unless both parties request the same song!) will be determined by final percentile score.   You can only submit one entry per person, but you CAN delete and replace a submission before the contest closes. This means each person who makes a submission can only choose to submit either a Bass or a Lead Guitar submission, but not both. This also means that you can reupload your submission once it's been submitted, until closing time on March 20th (For instance, say I record a bass playthrough at 96%, and submit it on March 3rd, and then on March 16th I play through and get 98% and capture it, I can delete my 96% submission and replace it with my 98% submission, no prob.)     As far along, those are the only rules I can think of. Like I said, I don't even know if anyone will get in on this or not but I hope so! It'd just be fun in my opinion :)   But if anyone is interested, I'm down to consider the contest open now! If you're interested and you want to spread the word, please do! The more people involved the better!   Thanks again guys. I hope we can get something fun going, but if not, either way, have fun, and rock on! B)

I'm really glad to be able to help. Really thinking about it, we could probably get a lot of the really tricky deathcore and death metal songs working together on them. You seem to be really good at syncing the notes to the actual song in EOF and are really good when it comes to tabbing and picking out bass on a song. I'm good at picking out guitar, or at least the techniques that are used. If we combined our skills, we could probably get a lot done on here. I wouldn't object to starting a duo Job For A Cowboy discography, not dedicated solely to, but a gradual process. Perhaps even a duo metal workshop. I don't know, I'm baked and perhaps overthinking things but we could do great things for the metal community of CustomsForge. We both already have individually. You brought Job For A Cowboy and that other band that I had never heard of in my life Through the Eyes of the Dead (who are fucking KICKASS by the way.) I brought Veil of Maya, The Black Dahlia Murder, Chelsea Grin, Emmure (well the ONLY good song they have at least,) and DevilDriver to CustomsForge. There are tons of bands remaining that we could get on here. Something to think about at least.   Thanks man. Yeah Go PlayAlong is an amazing program for syncing songs up with tabs, along with guitar pro.   But yeah, I'd be down to team up and start working on some cool death metal/deathcore songs.   This is totally unrelated, but you mentioned liking my Through the Eyes of the Dead CDLC... Did you check out that Anata CDLC I just did? I only mention it because they're an AMAZING Technical death metal band from back in the day that like no one knows about, and I think they deserve more exposure lol. I'm surprised you'd never heard Through the Eyes of the Dead though. Force Fed Trauma actually wasn't even my first song choice from them (in other words, you should check their other stuff out!), cause I was gonna originally do Two Inches From a Main Artery. That whole album is great though...   But yeah man, we could def do some great things as far as customs go. Actually I've also been consulting with another guy, Shockdude, on tab corrections and stuff, making sure the guitar tabs have been right. Hell we could get a whole team going lol. We could have tabbers, editors, etc.   Idk lol, I'm a bit fucked up myself, so I'm probably thinking too big picture, but who knows. It could be cool. We could definitely talk more about it.   But anyhow.....   UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENT:   So hey guys... I've just updated to v.3.0. I just wanted to let you guys know about the changes involved. Basically from versions 1.0 and 2.0 to v3.0, the tabs of all three charts/paths have been updated and are now as close to correct as possible. Also, a new (better) guitar tone was added and replaced the old distortion tone.   Enjoy guys, and rock on!

Shit. It put sustains where tremolo notes should be? Ugh.   This sounds amateur as hell, and I suppose I should have fuckin checked that before I put the song out, but I figured with all the other tabs I did the exact same way (which seemed to come out fine) I didn't expect this one to be any different. Plus the bass tab came out perfect, so I didn't expect the guitar sections to change "in transit" if you know what I mean.   If something like that did indeed happen, I WILL go back and fix it, to the best of my ability atleast. Fixing it shouldn't be hard, just annoying.   I'd say you're right though, most people who download this song know it anyhow and would tremolo anyhow, but I PERSONALLY don't want the CDLC looking bad like that lol. So it's gotta be fixed.   So thanks for saying something. I would have never even known it didn't recognize those notes...

When I'm playing it, a lot of it feels off. A lot of parts that are supposed to be tremolo/alt. picked quickly (you can very clearly tell it should be alt. picked) are put as sustains whether it's rhythm or lead, specifically the beginning. The first half of it specifically is what feels off. I also noticed one small error on Entombment, but it's really insignificant.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DMQ9VED245M   Watch that cover of the song. You'll see what I mean about the alt. picking. Yeah, sorry man. I literally cannot help with guitar at all. I just used what tabs were available.   In my defense, when I checked the tabs out via GP many notes were set to tremolo picking and everything linked up perfectly. So is there something I should do, in EoF to remedy that error (like swap the notes from regular to tremolo via tech?) because I feel like there has to be something lacking on my end to "complete" things.   I personally tabbed out the bass section by hand though, so I know it's right.

Sweet. Will Knee deep be coming soon? Maybe. Lol that's all I can say about that one. Because with The Rising Tide and Suspended by the Throat (and possibly Knee Deep), I personally have to (or in TRT's case, since it's out, 'had' to) tab the bass out myself since there are no bass tabs out there lol. It's not that hard to do, but when you're striving for the songs to be as perfect as possible it can take a bit of time to get em to a presentable level lol. So if enough people show interest in a particular song without a Bass tab, sure, I'll tab it out and do it up still.   I will say however, that I'm doing Suspended by the Throat next. After that, I'm not quite sure... Maybe Knee Deep... Idk. ;)

All the songs I wanted to do either don't have full tabs or are missing instruments, which sucks... So I'm 100% up for suggestions at this point.   You should do Suspended by the Throat by Job For a Cowboy   I planned on it prior, and I had actually planned to do both The Rising Tide and Suspended by the Throat after my first JfaC CDLC (Entombment of a Machine) instead of this song actually, since those two are my favorite Job for a Cowboy songs, but sadly all the tabs for both I've found are either: Incomplete Incorrect Lacking all instruments So I sadly can't do either at the moment. If in the future, a complete tab of either of those songs becomes available I will be the FIRST person to make them into a CDLC lol.

Thanks so much for your hard work on this CDLC! As far as future CDLC is concerned, I can believe that whoever made The Rising Tide didn't include the bass tab, but I'm disappointed since JfaC is one of the few bands of its genre that gives bass an important role, especially in TRT. Anyway, I'm fine with any JfaC song you're up for chartering since I'm sure you have a great taste in music. :D No problem man.   But yeah, I was really disappointed that neither The Rising Tide, nor Suspended by the Throat had bass sections. Those two are pretty much my favorite JfaC songs, and I was really looking forward to them (the Doom EP is easily my favorite album by JfaC). Sadly it seems like tabbers neglect the living hell out of bass when tabbing their stuff out, simply because there are only a handful of JfaC songs that are "complete" with every instrument tabbed. But I'll be happy to do the ones that are available! Right now I'm working on Bearing the Serpents Lamb actually lol.   Also, yeah, I agree. JfaC really does a much better job of not pulling the whole "lets mix the bass out" like a lot of death metal bands do lol. Some of their albums (their Demo, Genesis and Ruination) kind of went more in that direction than their prior albums did (Doom was great about bass lol), but they never quite reach the level of "in-audible bass" like some death metal bands.   Plus their bassist (Brent Riggs atleast, as tbh I haven't heard a lot of their stuff with Nick Schendzielos from Demonocracy or Sun Eater yet) is pretty damn decent. He's my kind of bassist in a way, because he isn't just chugging along open on the C string constantly like some bassists lol.  (though I wish he utilized more of his bass' strings, since most songs are all on the low C and G strings haha.)   But trust me, if I come across a good The Rising Tide or Suspended by the Throat (or hell, maybe even Knee Deep) tab, I'll jump on that ASAP. :)

I've got some custom tone ideas for the track. I'm going to have to redownload the toolkit, so I can examine my old CDLC. The tone that I used for my Whitechapel custom, Reprogrammed To Hate (currently I am the only one with the .psarc file for it, as it's far from being complete.) would be perfect. I'll get back to you. If you're making death metal/deathcore, you can count on me for some support/help. Hell yeah. Sounds like a plan to me man. I'm definately gonna be doing more death metal and other extreme metal (it's pretty much gonna be my CDLC focus right now, since extreme metal seems to be so hugely under-represented here, which is a damn shame considering the technicality involved in the songs lol.) and I'm always down for help!   I think once I finish this song up I'm gonna end up doing Bearing the Serpent's Lamb, and then idk what. Maybe Unfurling A Darkened Gospel just to round out my JfaC songs. (I REALLY REALLY wanted to do The Rising Tide and Suspended by the Throat, and maybe Knee Deep, because those first two, TRT and SBTT, are my favorite JfaC songs lol, but I can't find any tabs with bass too, they all only have Lead and Rhythm. Maybe it's selfish, but as a bassist, I don't wanna make something I can't even play rofl. It'd be too cruel. Maybe someday I will if I can't think of anything else to do.) I'm thinking I might do some Dir En Grey songs, but I have no clue about that far ahead in time... I guess I'll just have to wait and see.   I'm totally rambling at this point, but yeah rofl. I'd appreciate the tone if you can find it!   Important Update Edit:   A new update (v5.5) is now out. This might be the final one on this song for a while, since I'm not having any luck getting my rhythm chart to load into EoF, as it just keeps crashing. The update fixes ALL, afaik, timing errors on both Lead Guitar and Bass sections.   So right now, both Lead Guitar and Bass should pretty much be at 99-100% perfection (though if any errors or etc. do pop up, don't hesitate to let me know, as I'll fix them ASAP!).   So for the moment, I am considering this CDLC essentially complete.   I will add Rhythm guitar if EoF ever decides to cooperate, but at this moment in time that's looking very unlikely, so I think my time would be better spent moving on to other CDLCs. I also might swap out the Lead guitar tone eventually, but that isn't a for certain thing, so I'm not even putting it on the worklog. But at the moment, imo, the CDLC stands on it's own.   If you guys have any requests, recommendations, etc. of songs you'd like to see made into CDLCs, leave a comment in My Workshop thread and I might work on it if I have the time!   But thanks for the support guys, and I hope you enjoy, and have fun with the song! Rock on! B)

I was going to just edit my other post talking about this, but I wasn't sure if people would see it, so I figure I'll note it here (for people who care about these kinds of things but can't be bothered to read the release notes): I've updated to v5. Basically all it added was a custom tone for Lead guitar (so atleast if you don't like the "default tone" in the song, you can make your own and change to it)...   Right now there are only a couple errors in the chart itself (one major one and a couple minor millisecond timing issues) so I'm just going to wait to fix those as soon as I can get Rhythm guitar loaded in and kill two birds with one stone. For some reason atm EoF keeps crashing when I try to load the rhythm guitar file up, so I've gotta figure that out first.   But expect a new update in the next few days if I can help it. If I can't figure out the Rhythm issue, I'll atleast fix the chart errors and update that so the Bass and Lead sections are 100% spot on. But thanks for the support guys!

Thank You! I will give it a spin now :-) Why don't you just try tio import a tone out of some deathmetal custom? Don't know... but I would have maybe tried some tones of cannibal corpse ore whatever..maybe parkway drive?Don't know if those are bad suggestions but just came to my head.... Im not so much into tones either .. ;-)   I thought about that, but that doesn't always work out. While death metal tones might all sound the same sometimes, they're all actually pretty unique. There are a lot of little differences and stuff that can really change the tone. I did consider it as a quick fix though lol. But I just said "to hell with it" and figured it no one helped out I'd just do it the old fashioned way and test things out until I found something that sounded similar, or I'd see if I could look up what was used for that album/song.   But yeah, I mean I can do bass tones no problem, but guitar tones for the most part elude me, simply because I'm a bassist lol, I don't play guitar. I can kind of guestimate the basics of the tone, but that's about it haha.

You have to put a tone in it, just any. If not the game bugs the fuck out, and we can't even use our own tones ^^ Not if you don't lock out tones iirc. I tested it without tones earlier and it worked fine (I even got like 70 something percent on the lead part lol, which quite frankly is amazing for me rofl). I'm not saying there might not be unforeseen consequences (there totally could be lol) but you can still play the song fine (and use your own tones). But I'll get to it ASAP. I just wanted to get a version of it out because people seemed to really want the lead version (and tbh I was kind of hoping someone would chime in with a good tone for the song so I could just add it in really fast, but that doesn't look like it's gonna happen).   I wouldn't worry about it much either way. I'm gonna add a tone to it as soon as I get the chance. I just haven't had the chance to test any tones out, and no one has stepped up and given me any ideas about what would sound good, so I gotta do it all from scratch. (I might just try to look up what was actually used in the song if I can).   Anyhow, I gotta fix an error in the chart's timing as well (as far as I can tell, there's just one spot in particular where the bass just randomly goes off the chart drastically for 8 notes or so then resyncs up like nothing happened lol) so I'll be updating it to version 5.0 really soon, and as soon as I can get EoF to stop crashing when I'm trying to load the Rhythm chart in, I'll get that added in, along with lyrics to round out version 6.0. (Which will hopefully be the final version.)   Either way guys, expect some really quality CDLCs coming in the future (I'd really LOVE to hear what songs you guys would like! If you want to post requests in my workshop thread I might do it up eventually. My workshop also has some "beta" versions of CDLCs I'm working on, and a list of my completed CDLCs, and my worklog, ie. what I'm working on now, what I'm planning to work on next, and what I might work on in the future!) since I decided to buy Go PlayAlong to sync up my charts more easily (and it works WONDERS lol).

AND ON THE 2ND DAY, RIVIN SAID: "LET THERE BE LEAD GUITAR!" ;)   On another note... Guitarists! Can someone recommend to me a good "standard" tone for this song? I don't even know where to begin for a track like this, so for guitar there is NO tone (I expect you guys to use your own for the moment).

Thanks man! If you have more time after you finish this CDLC, more JfaC would be awesome (especially the rising tide).   LOL My good man, you don't even realize how you nailed it. The Rising Tide was actually the next song I was planning to do (it's probably my favorite JfaC song).   Awesome man! I love JFAC. Gotta try Unfurling A Darkened Gospel/Eating the Visions of God/Sun of Nihility! The tracks off Sun Eater have INCREDIBLE bass.   I'm working to get more death metal and deathcore on here as well. I currently have two Veil of Maya songs posted (Mowgli and Numerical Scheme), one Emmure song (Solar Flare Homicide), one Chelsea Grin song (The Human Condition), and I'm working on some Whitechapel (Whitechapel is so hard to make customs for because basically every tab is a seven string one.)   Yeah I might do some newer songs in the future, but right now I'm kinda just doing the songs I'm most familiar with... The JfaC of my time if you will (Doom EP and Genesis stuff mainly, though I might do  some songs from Ruination and their other later albums too). But yeah, I was a bit sad there wasn't as much death metal on here as I had hoped, so I figured I might as well try and fix that problem lol. So far I'm really happy people are at least anticipating it somewhat.   Also, I know exactly what you mean about the 7 string conundrum, as there are some Suicide Silence songs I wanted to do, but I can't really do them without transposing them (All their songs are 7 string too). I guess I could do bass tabs pretty easily (because even though it's a 5 string bass, neither Mike nor Dan ever really use the high string rofl), but I don't like just doing one instrument. I guess I like my CDLCs to be as complete as possible haha.   Maybe Rocksmith 2016 will come out or something, and it'll have 7 string guitar and 5 string bass support and the low-tuning fix built in. If that happened, the game would literally be perfect imo. I mean sure there are songs with multistringed guitars and basses (6 string seems to be a popular new choice in death metal) and etc, but hell, most songs use either 6 or 7 string guitar, and 4 or 5 string bass, and that would cover MOST songs... idk lol. I'm just ranting at this point. It'd just be great to not have to transpose stuff constantly.   EDIT: Right now I'm using the GPA technique to completely redo the bass section alignment (it's going to be PERFECT) and do the guitar sections too, so the entire CDLC should be done SOON!

First I was like.. Fuck Yeah!!!!!!!!!  Then I realized it was only for bass.... but then I read your release notes :) I really recommend to everybody who has problems with syncing to use the GPA-Technique... Your song will get spot on without any nerve wrecking note/beat adjustments....http://customsforge.com/topic/15674-go-playalong-tutorial/?hl=playalong Thanks man, I wasn't aware of that tech, so thanks for the heads up!   But yeah, no worries, I'll definitely be adding in both Lead and Rhythm. Actually, I would have already done so (I usually just knock all of them out at once and then improve them), but I was a bit short on time today, so I chose to focus what little time I could spend on it on the part I could actually test out lol.   But I'm glad to hear people are hyped up about the song! It's (the bass part is atleast, imo lol) so fun to play...   Perhaps that new technique will make it a bit easier to put together the guitar sections though. ;)

Can't wait til you add lead. This is one of my old favorites. Glad to hear that someone else appreciates JfaC's genius. :)   Yeah I just always loved this song, and thought the bass line was pretty amazing, so I figured "what the hell?"    Right now I'm trying to finalize everything with the bass tab (there are a few errors I'm trying to iron out, mainly just note placement/timing as a couple notes are like a quarter of a second early or late and it's bugging me), but once I do, Lead will be up next.   Actually, this is a bit pre-emptive since I'm not there yet, but does anyone think they could assist me in choosing a good setup for the upcoming guitar tones? I would usually do it myself and just do it as best as I can (since I don't play guitar), but rather than just half-ass it, I think I'd rather get the input from a guitarist this time around.   If anyone wants to help me out with that, let me know! I'd really appreciate it (and you could get some of that sweet sweet credit in the author's notes if you want lol).

New version is much better.  Bass is indeed still off but it's consistent so hopefully that means it will be easy to fix. :)   The first verse is fine then when you hit the chorus it is off by a note.  That corrects for the second verse but starting with the second chorus, the rest of the song it's off by one note.   Right as the chorus starts with "Someone Save..." I think there is one extra Y2 note before the transition to R2.  Drop that one note and move the rest up to that timing and I think it's OK.  Of course you need to do that without impacting verse two since it's correct.  The second chorus gets out of synch at the exact same point described above.   Hope that helps.   Just played through rhythm for the first time and it has the same issue as bass.  It gets off by one note at the start of the first chorus.  It stays off though for almost the entire song from that point.   Otherwise the charting and tones are great.  Thanks again for the hard work!   Thanks a lot man, this will REALLY help.   Since today is Thanksgiving here (USA guy lol) I can't work on it today, but expect a new update in the next few days.   I'm going to work on fixing the charting and adding in multi-platform support, and then expect another update in a couple more days with fixed and (correctly) working dynamic difficulty.   But thanks loads CoFRLogan, that's exactly what I needed to fix it. I guess sometimes when you're pouring over something over and over constantly things start blending together and it actually becomes more difficult to fix, so an outside eye is hopefully just what I need right now. If things work out the way you said, I'll add a note in the Author's note about your contribution as well, because you'd deserve that at the very least lol.

much better but bass is still out of sync in sections, sometimes 2 or 3 notes off. Can you give me a timeframe here? I ran it through and it sounded alright, I hope I didn't upload the wrong version again or something =( For whatever reason I'm having more trouble getting this song finalized than any of my others lol         Next? No, simply because I'm working on 'I Am The Walrus' by The Beatles right now which will be out next (I'm a bassist, what can I say, McCartney could play some cool bass lines :D).       Sweet! Thanks for uploading this, about to try it out. ^ I hope you give us guitarists some of that beatles song too. Thanks again man!   Hah no problem, and yeah of course, I always do full arrangements if they're available. I have some other songs up in the Workshop section, that includes some Beatles songs, if you wanna check em out.

Alright guys, I've updated the link above and replaced it with a new and improved version. I'll edit the details for version changes, but quite a few things got fixed, so check it out!   Also, I've moved to a new file sharing site, so no more silly decryption keys needed!

Thanks for this!  Always love more Shinedown.  Having said that, I think bass is not in synch.  The notes are fine but the transitions between notes are too late.  One verse in I found myself a full note ahead to make it sound correct and by the time I got to the chorus I was two notes ahead.  Strangely enough, if sorted itself back out when the verses restarted later but soon got out of synch again. Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I actually just noticed that recently as I was playing (I've been so busy making CDLC I haven't actually PLAYED any lately!)   Personally, I wouldn't have released it had I known (it would have just stayed in the workshop until I fixed it) but due to a series of miscommunications with a friend who tested it for me, it got released as is, so a couple sections the notes are off by one (but like you said, it resets, because I manually charted the song, resulting in repeating patterns).   At the moment I've just halted all other CDLC stuff until I get a chance to fix it (at which point I'll start working on fixing my other CDLCs, many of which are available for testing in the Workshop for people who'd like to help me make my CDLCs better!) so it's at the TOP of my priority list atm since it's my only released CDLC. But it should be VERY soon. In the next day or so hopefully.   But I apologize for the error guys, I'll get it fixed up and have a new version (probably with dynamic difficulty, and multi-platform compatibility) uploaded ASAP!   If you guys notice any other errors or anything, definitely let me know! And any of you guys who are interested in helping me to make my CDLCs the best they can be, check out this thread and download and test out (and report back errors or issues concerning) my "demo" CDLC songs! (I'd really appreciate the help! I don't play guitar, so while I generally can do bass charts right, I'm just winging it on guitar charts lol!) The faster I get these completed (because I started a few before I had even released my first CDLC lol) the faster I can start working on new CDLCs and making new stuff for songs that we all like!   But thanks for all the support guys!   http://customsforge.com/topic/13687-rivinhals-musical-workshop/

Great tune. I'm surprised this has taken so long. Any chance of doing Fly From the Inside next? Next? No, simply because I'm working on 'I Am The Walrus' by The Beatles right now which will be out next (I'm a bassist, what can I say, McCartney could play some cool bass lines :D).   Soon? Yes. Because 'Fly From the Inside' was actually a song I had planned on doing eventually anyhow, so if someone else wants me to do it to, I'll definitely put it out when I get the chance.

First off thanks for charting.  This will certainly be a popular song if it is well made.  Will be giving it a run here shortly on bass.   There are a couple things you should probably address though or else your perceived desirability will suffer.   1)Download requiring a decrypt password.  First song I have seen that requires this out of the thousands I have grabbed.  Some people will be turned off by this instantly and it may be against forum rules.   2)List the tunings used in the notes. All the guitar tabs I see are listed as drop D and bass tabs are generally E standard.  I would clarify this and probably categorize it by the guitar part since that will be 95% or more of the downloaders and guys will skip it if they know that is incorrect.   Just suggestions and looking forward to giving this a run.   Yeah, I'm sorry about the Decrypt Password, it's just that I load everything on Mega, and I can't figure out how to link to things without the decrypt. But if it's any consolation, I will be replacing the link (and adding in other platforms, Mac/Xbox/PS3, etc.) with a new one that doesn't require a password very soon.   And actually all the instruments are tuned to E Standard. Any tab you saw listing lead or rhythm as Drop D was more than likely wrong. All the "credible" sources point to the fact that all arrangements are tuned in E, so I just went in that direction instead. I personally play bass, so I had people test it first in the workshop, and the guys/gals who tested it out for me said it sounded right, so it works for me (and I hope it works for you too!) lol.   Haha. I was learning this song on tabs for the last month. Now I see it here? What are the odds?!   Thanks for making this great song. All we need now is I Dare You. Now that's my favorite song from Shindown.      Thanks again.   But yeah, no problem lol. I love this song, so I just hope you guys enjoy. But if you guys see anything amiss, let me know and I'll fix it up and try and improve it if need be!   Also, Cage, I'll put 'I Dare You' on my CDLC-to-do list (I'm gonna work on getting 'I Am The Walrus' by The Beatles finished and out first, since I'm working on it now) and I might do it in the future or something...   But thanks for checking it out guys.
