Oh BTW - try using an Octave pedal in the chain to get a cool synth sound out of your bass. That's what most of the bands did back in the 80s. Octave + Overdrive + a little Chorus seems to work best. Maybe keep the Compressor at the beginning. |

I don't think Andrew Eldritch is particularly interested in making an album, or at least that's what I keep hearing. They played 4 or 5 new songs last night (well, not totally new, but newer than Vision Thing), but they only play them live. There are some bootleg recordings floating around but nothing official. I was thinking the same thing. If you can help me with the guitar tab that would be fantastic. I tried to use the one on UG but since the bass track in the GP file was so wrong I just didn't trust it. I can pick out single notes but my ears aren't trained to recognize chords. |

Whoa, yeah. Thanks for pointing this out. It seems like EOF had a bad day or something. The arrangement is perfectly synchronized in GoPlayAlong. I guess it got hosed the last time when I was working on the tones. It should be fixed now, I just played through it and scored 100% on the first try. Even though the version is 1.1, the filename is the same (v1) so you can simply overwrite it with the new file. |

@zarlodious I would definitely do Peek a Boo but there aren't really any playable notes in that song. I don't think I can accurately tab and make a guitar sound like an accordion. There are a few notes which sound like a bass with an octave pedal maybe (not sure) and only one guitar note that I know of. I don't think it would be worth it to sit there waiting for one of the 5-10 notes in the whole song. If you like Siouxsie though, I'm working on a few more. |

Give this a try, remove the Cosmonaut Delay Echo and instead use Bass Filter Delay with these settings: Time 245ms Feedback 60 Mix 60 Low Filter 20 You might even be able get it better than this but this already sounds pretty good on my setup. I think the Delay/Echo is too much. Nice work tabbing the song though! |

I think it is going to take some tweaking to get that delay right. I'm not sure if Rocksmith's pedals are up to the task. I'll play around with a bit and see if I can find a good setting. |

Sorry, but I won't be adding any. It is very tedious and time consuming to add lyrics, especially after spending 5-6 hours tabbing the song from scratch by listening to it over and over in slow motion to figure out the notes. You're the first person who has actually said anything about this, so I don't think very many people actually care. Quite a few of the other CDLC creators don't add lyrics either. Just like tabs, a lot of lyrics posted online are wrong and they have to be fixed too. More time I don't have. If enough people asked for it I would consider it, but so far that hasn't happened. I think most of us are just happy to play along with the songs. |

No worries man, I kind of figured it was something like that, because all of your other charts like Chameleons and The Cure were spot-on. I still need to go back and update the first few I created because I'm sure I didn't clean up the tabs from UG. I was busy just figuring out how to make a CDLC back then. When you play this song on guitar, does it sound like the tab for it was correct? As I was saying, the tuning would make sense on the guitar if those lower notes were needed. When I looked at the guitar tab the low Eb was definitely in there. I just suck at guitar so I can't tell for myself :) |

I know the feeling. I've gotten an hour into reworking a tab only to give up because there was too much to fix and I couldn't be bothered. I do occasionally find some really good ones though. Yesterday I used one that only one note wrong - it was just a variation in the riff that the author didn't catch. |

There seems to be a lot of useless shifting in that tab. In one bar, there is a succession of alternating Ds and Fs which are played on the 7th fret of the D and G strings. Then one bar later, the same A is played on the 2nd fret of the G string, followed by an E which would be conveniently located on the 7th fret of the A string but is instead using the 2nd fret on the D string. The C# that follows can be picked up on the 9th fret of the E string instead of the 4th on the A string. My hand could stay where it was for the several previous bars. It makes me wonder if the people that tabbed it ever actually played it. It looks like they fixed it in the "Official" tab on UG, but unfortunately they don't let you download those :( I wish I could find a way to screen scrape those into a Guitar Pro file. I've spent countless hours un-f***ing tabs from UG... :) |

Thanks for making and pointing this out. Been playing single notes the whole time. It was kinda hard for me to tell with all the different sounds going on, but from the video you posted, I can see what you mean. I'm glad you like it. I was actuallly doing the same thing for a long time until I noticed his hands in an old video. I found some conflicting tabs on the web and decided to research it a bit, then I came across that video. I double-checked with a couple of other old videos from the 80s and confirmed it. So the "official" tab at Ultimate-Guitar.com is wrong...I guess I need to submit a correction and send them mine. Thanks for the nice comments, and enjoy playing! |

Wow! You keep coming out with great songs! Any interest in the Man with X-Ray Eyes from this album? I love that bassline, but I'm never going to figure out David J's fretless pbass with my imperfect ears. Thanks. This one was made easier by the fact that there was a reasonably-ok tab for it on the Internet. I can give Man with the X-Ray Eyes a go next weekend when I have more time, because that will take a bit more work. Until then I'll probably make a few more from existing tabs where I don't have to start completely from scratch. |

I think some of their best stuff is on Some Girls Wander by mistake. Their version of Gimmie Shelter is one of my favorite songs. Dr. Jeep and some of the later songs are a little cheezy. All of this album is good. You should check out Fields of the Nephilim and Red Lorry, Yellow Lorry. They have similar sounds. I'm actually planning to do a CDLC for Moonchild by Fields of the Nephilim. I've still got to fix a few things and then sync it to the music. |

Cheers, no worries, glad you are enjoying it. I actually just updated it with a version 2 because the default tone was so terrible. I didn't know how to change it at first. It sounds much better now without having to change tones quickly before the song starts. |
