Metadata-related nitpick: 1. The song is by ryo (supercell), the proper way to credit Vocaloid tracks is <producer> - <song> feat. <vocaloid> . Doing <vocaloid> - <song> is a really outdated practice that led to lost traction for producers in the past. |

To clarify on the case with Vivid: Just going off of the way it's written and played, I feel like Yuyoyuppe *wrote* the guitar part to Vivid. Yuyoyuppe notably doesn't play extended range instruments. I follow them both on Twitter and I remember Utsu tweeting when Yuyoyuppe came over to track the collabs, and he got the chance to try Utsu's 7-string. His general thoughts, according to Utsu's auto-translated tweets, were "I get it, but it's not my thing" So if the former is true, the latter logically follows. Utsu-P doesn't actually use an 8-string, just heavy-gauge 6 and 7-strings. He owns a Schecter Hellraiser C-8, but according to his blog, he hasn't used it at all. He just picked up his 7-strings over the last couple years, hence why we've been getting a lot of extended-range stuff recently! ...Can you tell I'm a massive nerd? Anyways, thanks for the chart as always :D |

Draw the Emotional
Title: Morning Glow Date: June 18, 2020 3:41 PM |
If you were curious; Collapse of the Sky was released under the name Draw the Emotional, BUT the songs on it are credited to their respective vocalists in their metadata (in this case Kiyono.) That's not very helpful, so its really up to you which tag you use. Draw the Emotional would technically be more accurate, but Yuyoyuppe is also the only one who does *music* for DtE? So. Also, the last Draw the Emotional album, 2018's "Draw", was a Vocaloid album! He does use the name for Vocaloid sometimes; it's just for his work with Meola. Hope that clarified some things, JP doujin scene can be weird to parse to our Western brains :p |

Title: Parasite Date: October 19, 2019 8:09 AM |
dude the tuning is wrong is B drop A and the album is wrong is from GREATEST SHITS fix it please the tuning is wrong because the chart is based around a tuning that most guitars would be able to achieve. Parasite is performed on an 8-string guitar tuned to Drop A, and to get there on a regular guitar while being playable would require HEAVY strings. so the chart is modulated a bit to preserve playability. and this chart was released before GREATEST SHITS was even out. before PTSD even. please think before you comment |
