If a custom isn't packed with a tone it causes the tone crash in the game and you have to completely restart to get it back. You don't have to make one, you can use an existing one and just rename it in the toolkit. Though I feel your heart is in the right place, I am not sure it is a good idea to adopt CDLC if you have never made one yourself. I have made about 15 of them and I wouldn't feel qualified to adopt one. Thanks for the effort however!! Hopefully this link will be helpful. I've done 29 customs and am already aware of the in-game bug involving the instrument tone caused by a song with no tone. With that said, as the screenshot in earlier comments on this forum show, custom tones were indeed packaged with this particular custom song. Why they do not work I do not know. I'll try adding my own custom tones to this song and players can change the tone using their number keybinds at their own discretion. Hopefully this will no longer cause the tone bug in RockSmith. Additionally, if anyone wants to take over and adopt this custom, I will gladly take mine down in favor of having the best version of this song available to the CustomsForge community. Until that happens, however, while I am unable to find a fix it will stay as is. I would rather have a decent version of this song on CustomsForge than none at all. I'm sure the majority of users would agree. I apologize to everyone for my incompetence and, as aforementioned, if I find a fix I will update this CDLC at that time.
