The author note does go over that element and the tag also indicate which is the pitch shifted version. So no, the note aren't an octave up, the note are exactly the same, just the tone differ so that player that don't want (for different reason) to tune down can still enjoy the songs that are in lower tuning originally.

The lowest string is tuned to Bb and the other 4 are just tuned like a 4 strings bass in C std (C F Bb Eb). This allowed him to play older song in C std and newer in drop without ever switching bass live. It also means he was able to play some stuff that would be harder or less logical on a C drop Bb on a 4 strings.

The solo have tons of difference to offer a largely better reading experience. And the outro is also played differently.

Note that i tend to mostly use all tone slot available too (which is the case for the first acoustic tone) and that a good part of this song main melody was recorded with a harp and not an acoustic guitar which makes it even harder to simulate.   For the synth tone, yes it's a bit too much but i tend to prefer the vocals part to be too much and ask of the players to take a better care of his own dynamic to get close to a the singing style where you don't yell all the time :)

Maybe just try to put only that CDLC in your folder and see if it's there.   A good option is also to use the CFSM app to make sure there's no conflict between CDLC more easily and can allow for some general bugfixing if needs be.

It's not completely bad but it's just a tab from the internet directly imported without any additionnal adjustement which means that the solo is horribly wrong and off, the rhythm part are hard to read and could use tons of adjustment to make it looks nice and readable.   The tone are not as bad as i would have expected but the supposedly lead tone is horribly wrong.   For a very first CDLC i've seen way worse than that but it sure could use a bit of time in EOF to make it really neat.

It could be way better without much work but it feels a bit clunky because of those fret hand mute that i suppose should be slides.   But nice song and it is fun to play.

Imo more than 40% should be remade but i'm very picky regarding CDLC quality and it's not really the subject here.   In this case, it's mostly the fact that there's part that are obviously off that makes me think it's not worth it, it's hard to enjoy playing a song when there's part that you'll have to play without being able to follow the chart.   And i did say the beatmap is off, the note seems somewhat in sync but if you look toward the end you'll see that there's no note that are on any beat of the beatmap.   And for that tuning, the 7 strings tuning is correct so i'm not sure where is that typo.

Be very careful about what you'll say next...   NDD is part of the filename by default when you make the PSARC file... Not if you let the toolkit auto generate DD or if there's DD in the xml file you load in the toolkit. So the fact NDD is in the name file clearly indicate you didn't add it in anyway.   What's the issue with renaming? It's not about the name, it's about the indication that it lacks DD that will induce bugs that is problematic.   don't think it's needed everywhere... Unless you want bugs, yes it's needed.   The Vocals seem to show up... How can you be not sure about it?   getting the % Bug The version of the toolkit you used don't have that bug anymore but you willingly keep others bugs by not adding DD...   I'm really not sure what to think about any of this.

Date: August 2, 2017 5:43 AM 		The skyline doesn't show because there's more than 100 sections in that CDLC, but the more problematic issue is that the 101 sections and any other that comes after can't be selected in RR properly.   And i really don't see the point in having that much section when it completely cuts the flow of some of the riff.   Also the tapping riff and the fact many of the riff are originally exchange between the lead and rhythm aren't properly transcribed here which makes it way harder than it should be.

Ok i could have added link toward tutorials for how to fix some of those things but still, there's screenshot that indicate clearly what are the issue that seems really problematic to me. It's far more constructive than many of the comment that are made on any CDLC.   As for /r/Rocksmith, i didn't attacked you, yeah the first answer came off wrong but the rest of the discussion clearly clarified what was meant on all side.   Anyway, since this CDLC won't be corrected, that's too bad, i'm sure i would have enjoyed it otherwise.

I played the lead part and i was just confused... The song is great, amazing even, well produced and all part are very nice and work well together! congratz on that but on the other hand, that chart is awfull. I wanted to throw a facepalm or two in there as there's so many fucking mistake that i just can't consider this CDLC "good". So to not be a useless idiot that can only criticize, i simply scrolled through the lead chart and i'm just gonna share some screen of what were the biggest issue i've seen : The failed pre-bend : The failed unbend that has one of the shortest duration of history : The bend wannabe : The shortest slide, good luck to see it at full speed! The sustain fuckfest or how to make a chart harder to read in 2 step : The slide that failed to go up... And i've been nice here as i haven't pointed all the fingering for chord or FHP that makes no sense and there's a fuck ton of them... That one goes directly to the bin until it's properly charted. Too bad i like the song.

Date: August 10, 2015 2:02 PM 		the things is that a B std for 7 strings isn't a B std for 6 strings. That's the biggest common mistake people do. B std for 6 is : B E A D F# B (-5 everywhere compare to E std) B std for 7 is : B E A D G B E There's a little difference, one have a G and the other a F#. That's the reason you have to move note on the B strings...   Playable doesn't mean 100% the same as the original.   There's some little thing to think about before trying to play around with a transposition : - where do you start? here a 7 strings in B std which is the equivalent of the 6 strings E std (you just add a low B on top) - where do you wanna end? here a 6 strings but you haven't decided a tuning to rely on, the closest tuning is the E std but you can choose whatever tuning you like. - How is structured the song on the original tuning? Obviously if there's little to no note on one string, you can easily just get rid of that string and consider your tuning as the strings that are left but you really need to take a good look at the tab and look if there's anything that really need to stay perfectly together or things that you can change quite easily. that will help you choose which end tuning will be more appropriate.   Transposition isn't something easy and you should know how GP works (or any other software for tab creation) to facilitate your work.   As an exemple this GP file contain both 7 and 6 strings for the lead part and you can compare what i did (and the cdlc is also available if you wanna try it in game) : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1ZKYtpB0vu2XzNBeWhfMlhURXM/view?usp=sharing

Date: August 9, 2015 5:06 PM 		There's multiple way to go from 7 to 6 strings and you bassically have 3 choice of final tuning (if you want to stay in "standard 6 strings" tuning) 6 strings E standard tuning : you get rid of the B strings on the 7, every note on the 7th string is either played one octave higher or on a different strings to not loose it completely. The way you play things won't really change that much since the tuning is bassically equivalent.   6 strings E std Drop D tuning : the same as for the E std except that the drop will allow a different approach for the note on the 7th string that need to move. This one will completely change the way things are played overall.   6 strings E std Drop B tuning : i hate this one because you have one spaghetti string. You get rid of the 6th strings (of the 7 strings guitar). I never did any transcription with that tuning because getting rid of a string in the middle seems completely innapropriate to me but overall the process is kinda the same.   You can check the end result of some of the Eric Calderone CDLC. Some are from 7th to E std and other are from 7th to Drop D and both system works fine even if some things are lost/changed in the process.

Date: June 26, 2015 12:13 PM 		First off, no leading silence, that kills the moment when starting a song.   Second, why not using the tone i've already done on all of my In Flames song which are 10 times better than what you used (even the menu distortion tone is better than the one you used...)   Thirdly, the chart is not 100% wrong but there's a lot of details that i would have change completely knowing how the other song of the album are constructed on guitar and how Bjorn and Nicolas play.   And why no bass? Peter doesn't make really complicated bass part and his tuning his quite easy to figure out since it's indicated on his signature bass.   PS : If you are willing i can help you make this better and i could also used help on the other In Flames customs i work on, i already have a tester available and building a team to really bring the best cdlc is one of my goal at the moment so let me know if you're interested.

However, I believe that there are a few tab mistakes in about three sections of the Rhythm guitar (only part I can play of this ha). I'm really not sure if it's worth your time changing them but here they are just for an FYI: 1) Second verse halfway through there is a chord progression change from A#5->C5 C5 C5 ->D5 (played 4 times) to A#5 ->C5 C5 C5 -> A#5 that's missed, then it goes back to the first one. 2) First run through the chord progression in the solo section (rhythm guitar) it should be D5 -> F5 -> G5 but it has it as D5 -> F5 -> D5 -> G5 -> D5 (The second run through this progression is actually correct). 3) Towards the very end when the guy is singing there are two D5's that should be A#5. Again, I don't know if it's worth your time, but I just figured I'd tell ya. I'm pretty sure those are correct from ear, but I'm a pretty new guitarist so I could be wrong. Stranger things have happened. Thanks again for all your hard work!   Could you give me the bar number (you can use the Rocksmith2Tab software to get a good view of the tab without opening Rocksmith). Cause i'm not sure of the moment you are pointing. I know there's issue in it since it was one of the first transcription by ear that i made so every little detail could help correct those mistake.

Date: March 19, 2015 12:10 PM 		i don't know where did you get the original song from but the sound is really bad, maybe consider buying the song to get a better one.   Also the chart is not beat sync, i strongly invite to look up for some tutorial about it since you won't be able to do any great customs without a beat map sync first.   The solo on the lead guitar is way off on many points and clearly not playable this way and even some chords on the rhythm part seemed a bit off.   Also there's a DD issue concerning the mastery but it might be solve by the beat sync so definitely do that first.   The tone aren't bad but it's hard to compare with the bad original file behind.   Overall i would say it's not playable in this state but it might not need much before being a good enough cdlc.

Second i would halve the BPM and change the parameter of the DDC to something like 8 or even 16 to have a real clean look on the top bar. There's also some detail about Fret Hand position that you could easily tweak to make it way cleaner on some part.   Not much to say about the tone, in fact it's better than most of the customs i've played recently.   I forgot to mention that this is about the lead but it's probably the same on the other arrangement looking at the issue ;)

I've never invested enough time in learning how to do tones, right now I'm adding lyrics to some songs and another weekend I'll probably dive into tones.     Slow down at 20% speed in riff repeater for the solo to make sure everything is good, that's how i do it and it's really usefull.

In the riff the bass always stay on the same note from what i've heard, your version doesn't sound off but it just doesn't sound the same as what i'm hearing. Unless you have better way of prooving Iwers played it one way or another i won't change it.   For the interlude in the middle of the song, it's hard to figure out how Iwers really play it but (again from what i'm hearing) i've come to create my own version that is in this CDLC.   In fact i should have not put bass in the outro because there isn't any (like in most of the acoustic part of In Flames songs) but i did since i thought it was better with than without for bass player.   Once again, i really appreciate the time you took to brought this up to me and i'm please you did so (and i would love to work with you on other bass tab from In Flames since many are just plain wrong) but in this particular case i've checked many times your tab and mine with the audio in different way and come to the conclusion mine seems more accurate than yours not that i think mine is perfect.

Also you have a bend on the 12 of the D strings then a 14, simply keep the bend since it's a full bend.

Date: May 3, 2014 10:28 AM 		The hand mute might not completely wrong if there are indicated not as a chord but as closed played note to indicate that you should strum those strings and hand mute them but as it is in RS it's not right. The problem with unpitched slide is more of a GP to EOF problem since GP allow you to create unpitched slide to arrive at one fret and EOF (or RS) doesn't handle it so EOF create an upitched slide that is more of a slide from an unknow fret to the one that should be played. There is no real answer, either you just indicate the note that should be played or you create a slide by using a fret position of your choice as a start point but either way it's not enterily true since the slide doesn't really start at one defined position.

Date: May 1, 2014 11:26 AM 		The finger stretch are normal the way i see it, it's not unusual to do this and the way they do it is not that hard to play so it's probably the right the way it is. The clean tone has way too much medium and not enough treble we should clearly hear the E strings and the G strings should be almost inaudible as i hear it and it's the opposite with the actual tone. Still some slides that are off. Overall it's way better this way and it's pretty good to play already!

Date: March 22, 2014 9:26 AM 		The beat map is still unsync with the note and it sometimes lead to incorrect rythm (not really visible at full speed but could lead to some error in the riff repeater). I know it is not easy to correct the beat map but i think it might solve the problem of weird hand position with DDC in the same time (not sure but worth the try). There are still some sustain here and there that touches the next note but not a top priority. You can add a section of silence in the middle where there is no guitar, because in the riff repeater you will have to wait just to work the harmonic chord, it can be frustrating. Overall, the custom is good, and with a sync beat map, it will be great and not far away for perfect, since you allready have the tone and the right note.
