Good custom. Good sync.   There is a chance to make the first solo??   Thanks.     Not sure that I understand what you mean by "There is a chance to make the first solo??"?

You did this : B E A D G B E  to B E A D F# B E   What i suggest to do is : B E A D G B E  to B E A D G B E   And removing one strings will never make a song playable. it's a full transposition job that requires some knowledge on the instrument you are writing for to make a song playable on something that wasn't meant for at first.     Yeah, I did set the tuning for this song at B E A D F# B, so should the song be playable at E standard if I remove the 7th string? You already have only 6 strings left here (you've got rid of the high E string and change the G to a F#) so which 7th string are you talking about?   For this particular song I didn't have to do much. Once I extracted the .gp file to EoF and selected the option to remove the 7th string, the tuning set itself (that's the only scar symmetry song I've had that happen to) and then the tuning was as mentioned B E A D F# B. At every other SC song I've tried making the tuning gets set to E standard by it self when put into EoF, that's the part that's bugging me, also to get the correct tuning to play the said songs on a 6 string guitar.   But correct me if I'm wrong, what you're saying is that if I remove the thick B string from a 7 guitar string song, it's playable in E A D G B E? I'm really confused around this topic lol

the things is that a B std for 7 strings isn't a B std for 6 strings. That's the biggest common mistake people do. B std for 6 is : B E A D F# B (-5 everywhere compare to E std) B std for 7 is : B E A D G B E There's a little difference, one have a G and the other a F#. That's the reason you have to move note on the B strings...   Playable doesn't mean 100% the same as the original.   There's some little thing to think about before trying to play around with a transposition : - where do you start? here a 7 strings in B std which is the equivalent of the 6 strings E std (you just add a low B on top) - where do you wanna end? here a 6 strings but you haven't decided a tuning to rely on, the closest tuning is the E std but you can choose whatever tuning you like. - How is structured the song on the original tuning? Obviously if there's little to no note on one string, you can easily just get rid of that string and consider your tuning as the strings that are left but you really need to take a good look at the tab and look if there's anything that really need to stay perfectly together or things that you can change quite easily. that will help you choose which end tuning will be more appropriate.   Transposition isn't something easy and you should know how GP works (or any other software for tab creation) to facilitate your work.   As an exemple this GP file contain both 7 and 6 strings for the lead part and you can compare what i did (and the cdlc is also available if you wanna try it in game) : https://drive.google...iew?usp=sharing Yeah, I did set the tuning for this song at B E A D F# B, so should the song be playable at E standard if I remove the 7th string? or is that if I remove the low B from 7 string tuning? That's the part that gets me haha :P

There's multiple way to go from 7 to 6 strings and you bassically have 3 choice of final tuning (if you want to stay in "standard 6 strings" tuning) 6 strings E standard tuning : you get rid of the B strings on the 7, every note on the 7th string is either played one octave higher or on a different strings to not loose it completely. The way you play things won't really change that much since the tuning is bassically equivalent.   6 strings E std Drop D tuning : the same as for the E std except that the drop will allow a different approach for the note on the 7th string that need to move. This one will completely change the way things are played overall.   6 strings E std Drop B tuning : i hate this one because you have one spaghetti string. You get rid of the 6th strings (of the 7 strings guitar). I never did any transcription with that tuning because getting rid of a string in the middle seems completely innapropriate to me but overall the process is kinda the same.   You can check the end result of some of the Eric Calderone CDLC. Some are from 7th to E std and other are from 7th to Drop D and both system works fine even if some things are lost/changed in the process. So the songs will be playable in E standard on a 6 string tho it's B standard or so on a 7 string? That's the part that confuses me :P I did try once with one of their songs in E standard, but that didn't sound well at all.. :L   Also I did notice the notes that should be an octave higher/different string, had to move all the notes on the B string (e standard) one note higher as well as move the whole solo up one string, hence the missing notes in the solo.   Would you happen to know the values of these tunings so I could test them? as an example I believe E standard is 0 0 0 0 0 0 and B standard is -5 -5 -5 -5 -5 -5

Thank you for this one!   I wanted to do Scar Symmetry also, but haven't done it because of the 7 string :s But in fact, that people still like it as 6 string,  I'll maybe help you with more Scar Symmetry songs then :P That'd be amazing! :D Havin' a bit of issues finding the right tuning for some songs, as the tuning is different from 7 string at B standard. That's the worst part of the whole deal of making these SC songs :P Working on Artificial Sun Projection atm, but I just need to figure out the tuning :P

I thank you very much for uploading it again!   Of course it is super easy to fix if you know the exact problem and what to do about it. The point is that users shouldn't need to fix your customs, no matter how easy that would be. This was the very first custom I have downloaded in nearly a year that didn't use cherub rock - and well you saw the confusion/frustratioin that produced for yourself. By the way, even the rules state that you have to use "cherub rock" ;-)   Now you can change back the Package ID in the database entry to "cherub rock", since Alex had fixed the info before to B.Y.O.B.   Thanks again and have a good time :-) The way I learned to add customs was to use the toolkit to pack it. I don't own the Cherub Rock song my self, so I have to do it anyways. It's really just a small/minor issue that is easy to straighten for a person who doesn't have this particular song/dlc/id.

I suggest you import the psarc into the Toolkit for yourself to see that it does show the App ID set to B.Y.O.B. If you are sure that you selected Cherub Rock, maybe you should raise the issue to the devs so they can figure out where in between the change happens :-) (I own B.Y.O.B., so I don't even have a problem here!)   I might of had a little mixup of the two files i had :) one was already packed for me in the game with B.Y.O.B and i had apparently uploaded that one, but it was originally Cherub Rock :P Tho it would of been an easy fix using my instructions above to repack it..   This has been fixed tho, so this souldn't be any problem any longer!

Posted this one earlier, http://imgur.com/A45fYM3, I never change it from cherub rock. As explained, you need to repack it with a song that you have legitly purchased. This is really no major issue as it is easily fixed by repacking it right.   I havn't got time to do changes on it atm as I am taking some classes and spending most of my time looking for jobs. I'll do it when I have the time for it.

I just downloaded the psarc and imported it into the toolkit and the DLC App ID is set to 271416 (System of a Down - B.Y.O.B.). Seems pretty obvious to me that this is the reason why it doesn't show up for so many people.   Would you mind uploading it again with Cherub Rock? Then you can delete all the long text in your description! Anyway, thanks for your great work ;-) It is in cherub rock. There is just a small handful of people who seem to have trouble making it work. I have no clue why it won't work for this selected group of people, but I have seen streamers smack it right in without having to even repack it, so I don't know what causes this issue, and that's why I've said what I did above. Repack it with a song you have purchased and you should have no issues with it.

Thank you so very much Haarek! After unpacking the song with the toolkit as you suggested it works GREAT and the riff repeater and the titles of the riffs really make it user friendly, I can practice each riff individually. What is your next project? Not sure yet :) Need a little break from creating after spending 15 tedious hours on this one, haha.. and it's still not completely done, so :P

Great work! Is it possible to add some sections in riff repeater so you don't have to go through the whole track each time while practising certain parts? You don't.. There is about one section/phrase per riff

http://imgur.com/A45fYM3It is set on cherub. I never change that part. I always use the toolkit to repack the cdlc's anyways, so I never encounter this issue.   Delete all previous versions of this song, reload the game then add the finished version. If that doesn't work then I don't know why it doesn't work for you guys.

Why cant I find this song in my list. Searched T for "the" searched C for chicago searched M for music under artist. searched under title 100 69 80 riff rock ....no where to be found. can any one help? It should appear under "C" on Artists. If you have issues, try what i said above, use the toolkit to repack it.

The latest 2 versions (69 riffs and 80 riffs) don't show up in my song list. I was able to play the 60 riffs vers (i.e first version), but even after deleting duplicate versions, it doesn't show up at all.   I have the same problem   Ditto, I can't see the song in the list.   Sorry for not seeing those comments! if you by some reason have issues getting it in the game, delete all previous versions and add the most recent one, and use the toolkit on it to repack it. Let me know if that doesn't work..!

IMO, i see in preview, the lyrics aren't well displayed. The song name should be blue during the whole riff.    I think just creatin one long phrase is enough. and not each word. Idk how to do that :P I'm a noob at adding lyrics :D     Once you finish the song I will lokk into it with an unpack to do better lyrics ;)   Nice :>

Excuse me, but how can locate the song? I tried by number (100 Riffs or 69 Riffs) and by artist (Chicago Music Experience?) and cant find it...  You could just follow the video above, or search for "100 Riffs" on YT. This is no "real" song in that matter, just a promotional compilation put together by Chicago Music Exchange which is a instrument shop.

The drop D change is after 60 going on 61. Then after 63 he switch back to E std for the 64. Then back again in Dropd D between 72 and 73. And E std after 75.   I didn't check if he changes earlier. Any ideas how to counter that? I think I possibly could just bring the notes on the E string down two frets, but idk how well that would turn out compared to the other notes in those riffs.. Isn't it possible to make a tone sound like Drop D tho? That could also be an idea..
