One thing about RockSmith is that when a song changes meter timing frequently, as it does in Fates Warning songs, it throws your internal count off course. I know the pretty colored notes are there on the screen and all you need to do is pick/pluck at the proper time it indicates. When you play this song, you will just 'know' what I am saying here.

Artist: Glenn Miller Title: In the Mood Date: May 13, 2021 11:02 PM	I have done 146 bass only CDLC's so far by myself, and these 2 Glenn Miller ones were by FAR the hardest ones to complete, I almost scrapped them both in the trash pail, there were that difficult. The waveform in the editor is unlike any waveform of the other 146 I did, as far as trying to line up each and every note. Yes, I know the timing is off in some parts, not by much though, and I notated that the tempo is all over the place. I have spent many hours getting it to the point it is at now, I am not going to re-visit it. When somone plays it, they will get the feel of the floating timing of the orchestra and will know that the note that is there needs to be played and hopefully they will have the 'feel' of the song and play it correctly. Im always open to somone dissassembling the psarc file and fixing it though.

I always like the big band/orchestra stuff of the early 40's. Some of those band members are virtuosos of their instrument. So they may not be making whammy bar dive bomb faces while playing, but I bet you they are thinking about it.

What I am finding out when actually making these CDLC's is that they stick to more of the foundational 'roots-5th's-ocataves', octave below the 5th's and 'outlining the chord', rather than straight ahead 1/8's or 1/16's notes that a lot of the glam metal uses. It's a nice change.

I never heard of these guys, good song though. Your bass track needs fixing. I made it work over here so I know you can too. You need to come up with a new tuning if you don't already have it in the drop down box for the bass.xml file when you compile it all into a CDLC. Call this bass tuning 'Bb Standard Fixed', just like that. The frequency needs to be 220. Then in your 6 boxes you must put in all POSITIVE 6's, like 6 6 6 6 6 6 No negative numbers, it doesn't work. Try it out. It tunes fine for me and I'm playing it just fine over here. I hope you can make it work. I need to talk to this band, they need to tune in regular B for the bass, none of this Bb..for what >??? lol... Cool song though!

I purposely played all the notes 1/2 step down to mimic E-flat tuning and it sounds, well, it sounds 'out of tune'.

Its at about the 2:24 mark in the notes file (sings: cause I know what you want....). You have it as a D earlier on in the song where he sings the same melody. Great song though!

I had to reverse engineer the CDLC, extract a GuitarPro tab out of it, convert the GuitarPro tab to regular E standard tuning and convert all the open string notes to fretted notes. I had played it for a 3 year old little girl and she got scared of all those low open string C#'s.

I am not a guitar player, meaning I wouldn't know how/where to make corrections if need be, so I would use exactly what you give me to lay into the CDLC, but of course make sure it's in sync.
Artist: Queensryche Title: Best I Can Date: December 31, 2020 1:09 PM	Ok, I figured out whats going on with the 4th's part. It looks like the original bass line was played on a 5 string bass and that part would be the fretted low D on the B string and it's octave, the D at the 5th fret A string. Makes sense. So when the tabs were done for a 4 string bass in Drop D, you could technically play the open E string, which is now D, and the 5th fret of the A but now you would have all that low open string continuous energy ringing out. Whatever, you could be like the guy on YouTube and just play nothing. I also just checked and there are no Guitar Pro tabs for 'Anybody Listening' (what is needed to make CDLC's). I would have done it for you Not14Chaos, even though I never really liked that one or 'Silent Lucidity'. Too slow..lol

I really had a hard look at the psarc file in Windows Explorer and in the file attributes it said something about "this file 'may' be protected/blocked" so I clicked on 'unblock' and it then 'unblocked' it. None of my other pasrcs I uploaded had this attribute set. I really don't know if your PC detected this previous 'blocked' attribute and decided to not let you see it in the Rocksmith app.
Artist: Kix Title: Girl Money Date: November 29, 2020 5:40 PM	Gaboon, I downloaded the Kix Girl Money song right from here just now and put it in my CDLC editor to see if it had the "Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock - 248750" song ID associated to it that you need to 'see it' and play it, and it does. I do not see anything wrong with it and I have not had anyone else say they can't see it. I know I had the wrong song ID previously associated to it, but I fixed that when you told me you couldn't see it the 1st time. You do have other songs downloaded from Customs Forge here that work for you, correct?

Yeah, I was really happy to find the tabs for Spread Eagle/Switchblade Serenade so I was able to make it for Rocksmith for bass guitar. The Blue Murder/Black Hearted Woman song, I also found the tabs for that and made the CDLC, BUT, I think whoever made the tabs just 'took it easy' and made it all 1/8 notes but if you listen to the real song, Tony Frankiln is doing something different on his bass, but not to fret! I am hooked up with the guy in Italy on 'Fiverr' and he has tabbed out 4 songs for me so far and they are perfect, so I just gave him Dirty Looks/Cardiac Arrest and Killer Dwarfs/Commin Thru to do, so those are next up.

I use the bass tab part of the Guitar Pro file for this song to create the CDLC here. I just checked, there are 5 guitar tracks tabbed out in the file. Two 'overdub' tracks with delay effects. Then there are 2 rhythm tracks and 1 lead track. I would have absolutely no idea how to do that. BUT, I paid a guy on "Fiverr" to create me a Guitar Pro bass tab for Vinnie Vincent's actual song "Invasion", so I'm waiting for that to come back then I will do the "Invasion" song for bass here.

I am REALLY wanting to make CDLC's from Killer Dwarfs, Dirty Looks, Victory, Chrome Molly, Pole Position and more but there are NO GuitarPro tabs for those bands whatsoever and I need the GuitarPro tabs to make the CDLC's.

I would if I could but I am really new to making CDLC's and its hard enough to just do the bass track by itself and get that somewhat perfect. Being a bass player I just make these for me to learn and play but I do share them here. I can tell you that when I grab the GuitarPro tab file for the song it of course has the regular guitar parts in it tabbed as well, and sometimes there are 3 or 4 actual guitar tracks in it. A lot is going on with the guitar and to get all that in synch with the mp3 and make the CDLC, I need more practice. I am going to try it though. Of course on the other hand, John Sykes here is another force to be reckoned with as he just doesn't strum a few chords, hes all over the place in the tab. I will give it a shot though.
