Title: Cherry Blossom Girl Date: June 18, 2023 10:43 AM |
Thanks for posting this. It was one of the first songs I learned on bass. Super easy for bass, but so relaxing. I noticed one bar (around the middle) for bass seems off. Maybe it is tracked correctly but sounds wrong. For anal people like myself, I track scores. I'll try it again and indicate the exact track. Other than that it's perfect (for bass). |

A Georgie song! I'm dying to watch the Peter Jackson Disney doc, but I don't have the Disney channel. I'm reading the Spitz biography (2200 pages) of The Beatles. I'm on page 350 and they are just becoming the Beatles in Hamburg. Thanks James for your always great posts! |

Oldie but goodie. I remember this was played way too much when it came out. It was cool to "not" like it. I love slow ballads when playing bass. Definitely a tone and confidence builder. |

Title: Holiday on the Moon Date: February 7, 2021 1:53 PM |
I've been trying to remember the name of this band for quite a while. I saw them live in the 1980's when they opened for an act I'm blanking on. Everything went wrong for the guitarist. When they started he wasn't turned on. Next he broke a string and they replaced his guitar. Halfway into the song he tripped on a cord and fell. He gets up and tosses his guitar into the drums and walks off. The rest of the band kept playing then stopped after a minute or so. All of this was in the first and only song. I'm not knocking the band. I like their music, but it was just a bad night for the guitarist. This was in Ottawa, Canada, sometime in the early 1980's. I'm looking forward to playing this song on my bass. Thanks for posting notetracker! |
