I was honestly referring to other tones besides Overdrive and Distortion. Besides Dist and Over tones this song has a flanger on bass at the beginning and there's a clean tone with a phaser effect in the 2nd verse. Glad you guys are enjoying this stuff though.

It's up to you, but you still may want to consider buying Cherub Rock as most of the charters uses that as the ID when packaging the CDLC. It'll save you time and hassle when getting customs.

I have about 2000 songs in my folder. So if you don't have cherub rock dlc then what official dlc do you have that you're updating the ID to? If you don't have any and you're just updating the ID to whatever that's not going to fix the problem. You need to buy at least one official dlc song and then update the ID of the cdlc to that official DLC. My advice would be just to buy Cherub Rock so that way you don't need to update the ID everytime you download a CDLC. When we make customs it automatically packs the song with Cherub Rock's ID unless we change it to another DLC ID and that doesn't happen too often. It's always a good idea that when you are thinking of downloading a custom to look at the custom song info package ID. Usually it will just say Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock - 248750, but it might state another ID. If you don't have that offical dlc that's listed in the song info then you'll need to update it with the dlc you purchased. For example, if the ID in the song info is listed as Alice in Chains - Check My Brain - 258362 and you only purchased Cherub rock then you'll need to update that CDLC's ID to Cherub Rock's. I hope this helps.

My thought is that if you're still hearing the guitar and the amps are working in game then it's not freezing your game. Are you trying to play this song as soon as you start RS? I know that when I first start RS and it's enumerating dlc and I go to play a song after the tune check it will do exactly what you described but that lasts about 5 to 10 seconds and then the song starts and that only happens if I try to play a song as soon as I start RS. How long do you wait for the song to start before you back out of it or close the program? Can you still access the menu when this is happening?

First of all, is your version of Rocksmith 2014 legit? Second, and I hope this isn't the case, but are putting both the DD file and the non DD file in your DLC folder at the same time? If so PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS. It's one or the other. If you have both it will cause the game to crash. That also happens if you have a new version and a older version of the same song. Also I know there is another version of this song on here so if you have both this one and the other version that could be causing your system to freeze as well. Basically you need to have only one version of this song your dlc folder at a time.

Rhythm and Bass don't need to be in Drop D since the low E is not played at all. It would be good to add sections for each path since there are times when Lead and Rhythm are not played and there were only 2 sections that I noticed. Another small thing to consider take a look at this tab as well. Just comparing the tab you used with this one it seems there's just a slight difference I noticed at a glance. The beginning for lead has a small section that you left out from what I could tell. The clean tone on rhythm seems a little bit too loud or a little bit off. That one's not a big deal. The other problem is that during the part where they repeat "liar" the notes start to go off sync requiring you to hit them before you actually should. I just noticed this on rhythm you might wanna check lead too.

Reptiles is almost charted but there is an issue with trying to figure out the notes on Lead from 2:13 - 2:33 in the 2nd verse. Unfortunately all the tabs out there for this song are horrible and inaccurate and some of the notes are hard to hear. I'm working with someone to try to help me with that but if anyone thinks they may be able to help as well let me know. Spinning in daffodils and also Warsaw are nearly done as well. Just need to work out some stuff with both of those.

I was going to do it myself, as I often do, unpacked the non_dd version. I noticed you replaced the x between two chords by a 0. That's not how it should be done. Just leave this string empty. Not 11 0 13 (this changes the sound of the chord) but 11 13 i.e. I also noticed the notes have been moved away from their beat, which gives strange results with DD. There is a tool which can fix this rather quickly. I'm sorry about that. I completely forgot but i will update this. One thing I have found out since then is that the true tuning of this song is Open Dsus tuning. So to be comepletely honest I'm going to update it with official tab which will change the drop D tuning.

The only thing i can think of that it needs on lead is a flange type effect for the solo. i'm currently working on updating this with a correct tab. Some parts weren't exactly right before. The solo actually uses a Wah-Wah distortion tone not flanger but i'll update that as well.

Could you possibly increase the volume or tweak the tone? Also during the second 'I can feel the weight' the 7 on the g string doesn't sound correct, it sounds like it should be a 7 on the lower c string. I've taken care of the volume issue. As far far as the 7th fret issue you had. It sounds good to me and the tab books state that the 7th fret should be played on C,G, & C. It could sound different to you since Lead has an octave tone during the verses.

The tuning on the sheet music is AGCFAd and he told me that when he spoke with brent hinds in a guitar clinic and the tuning is actually in AGCFAc, so he's working on that tab in transposing the high notes now. The Motherload and Ember CIty should be up in a few days to hold you over till that's done.

I can't feel the rhythm or hear the notes of the orange/green, shouldn't they be played muted ? I can't get the chord 11x13 detected although 911 and 1214 work fine. thanks for this info. I'm going to redo this cdlc with better sync and I will fix this issue as well.

The scrolling speed is too slow, there are no arpeggio patterns which makes it even harder to read with slow scrolling speed, also there are slides that show strums where there shouldn't be any. can you be more specific about the "slides that show strums" otherwise it's not going to get fixed.

You were able to fix all the problems (which there were a lot, no offense) in less than a day which is by far the best experience I have ever had considering a large number of CDLC creators will take multiple days to fix one problem with a custom, only to run into more problems. This is one of my favorite Mastodon songs, and you nailed the custom! I don't know how you do it, but keep up the good work!thanks man. I try to be very quick about fixing errors. I'm glad everything is working with this. Let me know it you think the bass needs an octave effect during the solo or if it's fine the way it is.

As far as the bass goes, during the solo/interlude there were just too many notes and that's why it seemed like it was going out of sync. I will have a new version up in a little bit. This one has updated notes for the interlude for Lead, Rhythm, and Bass. Once it's up let me know how it looks.

As far as I can tell it's just in the beginning of the song that there's a difference. It's only having me play fret 6 on the D string. Fret 7 of the A string is gone.

Is this just happening with my cdlcs or does this happen with others? Are you deleting the older versions after you've moved the newer file into the folder or are they being left in the folder? When you say the save file is corrupting are you just referring to this one particular cdlcs % progress or are all your songs progress? Are you trying to replace them when the game is running? My save file has never corrupted from replacing cdlc but I did try to replace a cdlc with a different version when the game was running and it caused the game to crash. Sorry for all the questions but I feel it's needed to get to the bottom of this.

Artist: Mastodon Title: Iron Tusk Date: June 27, 2014 3:11 PM	There's a few problems with the bass arrangement. Firstly, the tuning is an octave too low which must be as a result of trying to set the tuning while using an emulated bass. As a result, when I switch to a custom tone, the notes register as incorrect due to it lacking the octave-down shift that the emulated bass would have. Secondly, there's bits here and there that are supposed to be an octave higher, as the song has a handful of bits that are repeated, but with shifted octaves. Thirdly, the bass is meant to stop playing at 2:06 in the song and continues at 2:14. Of course, I could be wrong and the bass is actually the wah-wah sound we can hear in the left ear, but I find that unlikely. Despite all that, for v1.0, it's great! As far as I'm aware, this is the only Iron Tusk bass tab on the whole internetz!I'll try to work on this. Honestly, I'm going to need some help with the bass part seeing as how I don't play it. Not sure what to do about the tuning though. For that I was following the instructions for low note recognition. Any help would be appreciated with this.
