About the Artist
Cerrone (full name: Jean-Marc Cerrone) (born 24 May 1952, Vitry-sur-Seine, near Paris, France) is an iconic and influential French European disco and dance pop drummer, singer, and music producer. Marc Cerrone has sold over thirty million albums. He claims, and it is often credited by others, that he was "the first" to put the kick drum (or bass drum) into the foreground of modern eurodance music. At the age of 12, he started playing drums and listening to Otis Redding's songs.
