Sailing Before The Wind is a metalcore band founded in Tokyo, Japan, in 2011. The band's lineup has undergone several changes over the years, with bassist and composer Bitoku being the only original member.
The band was initially formed in 2011 by vocalist kneeya, guitarist matha, and bassist Bitoku. After their previous deathcore band disbanded, the trio decided to continue making music together. Shortly after, guitarist Takaya joined the band, and they released their first recording called "Horizon" as a trio.
