About the Artist
MC5 was an American rock band formed in Lincoln Park, Michigan, in 1964 remembered for their anti-establishment lyrics, with their first three albums widely regarded as staples of rock music and their 1969 song "Kick Out the Jams" widely covered. In 2024, MC5 were selected for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the musical excellence category.
