About the Artist
Tank are an English heavy metal band formed in 1980 by Algy Ward, and were part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement that was prominent in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The original band disbanded in 1989, reuniting in 1997 and disbanding again in 2003. Starting in 2008, Tank had two versions of the band that were both active at the same time, one led by guitarists Mick Tucker and Cliff Evans, and the other being led by Ward himself. After Ward’s death in May 2023, his Tank lineup would disband.
