About the Artist

A black metal band formed in Lappeenranta, Finland in 1999 as a solo project of Shatraug. The lyrical content and themes are centered mainly on depression, misanthropy, nihilism and satanism.

The word "Sargeist" is a combination of the two German words "sarg" (coffin) and "geist" (spirit). The name comes from the Rotting Christ song "The Old Coffin Spirit".
