John Robert Joe Cocker OBE (20 May 1944 – 22 December 2014) was an English singer known for his gritty, blues-influenced vocal style and expressive stage presence. Many of his most successful singles, including "Feelin' Alright?" and "Unchain My Heart", were cover versions of previously released songs, although he also wrote material for several of his albums, often collaborating with Chris Stainton.
His debut album included a cover of the Beatles song "With a Little Help from My Friends"
