Nice job taking the time to do this... great song! But, this song is not played in "F Standard" by Lonestar. Just looking through a few videos of them performing the song, in every one the guitars all were using a capo on the 1st fret. I even checked a video of them playing the song way back in 1999 and they used a capo back then as well. Again, really apprecate the work! Also, this is a simple edit for anybody that wants to adjust it. |

I just rechecked the mediafire download link (it's correct), then scanned the psarc file with norton security suite and the online AVG scanner. Great song, TNX. The only thing i found in your custom is that there are gaps in the bass arrangment in some places, not a big deal, but could you plz check on those if you are able to do so in the next ver... Thanks for the input. I noticed the bass tab I had seemed a little thin. I don't play bass, so I'm not confident I could add much if I attempted to tab it out. If anybody runs across a better bass tab, I'll be more than happy to add it to the custom. |

I also have Jake Owen's "What We Ain't Got" that I made for myself. I haven't posted it because, like Drink a Beer, it's only a simple rhythm track with no bass or lead. Plus, What We Ain't Got is one I had to adapt from a piano to the guitar so it's probably rough around the edges. I'll go over it again and upload it if you guys think there's enough interest. The lack of country songs in the database make me think there's not many country music fans around here... |

If you have never heard Chris Stapleton (co-writer of this song) before, he just released his first album "Traveller", it's worth a listen. He's one of the most talented musicians to come out of Nashville in a long time (imo). I kind of wish I had a recording of him singing "Drink A Beer", I would've used that version instead. |

anyone else having problems after downloading this song? RS would freeze after tuning my bass. Removed this song from dlc folder and RS is working fine again. I have been unable to re-create the problem you describe. With almost 600 downloads I would think one of those would have mentioned any freeze issues. I think the Custom Game Tool Kit has a way of checking your DL folder for any problem files. It also has some other pretty cool features. Maybe try downloading it, it's in the forums. |

Thanks for this - lovely tone. The bass does seem a little out of synch, to me, though. It just seems a bit behind the beat in places, especially in the middle of the song? I'm no expert - so it may just me me that's out! :D I'll take a look at it when I get a chance. I didn't spend much time fine tuning the bass. |

Great job on this! Love the song too. This might be a matter of taste, but on my copy I unpacked it and lowered the volume of the tones (except bass..didn't test that one) a little, then repacked it. But, like I said, it's probably just a matter of taste... The other thing I adjust was the scroll speed on rhythm...once it really starts up the strum panes are real close together. I just adjusted it from the default of 2.0 to 1.4. I'm sure some would rather it go slower and have them closer together, having it spread out makes it a little easier for me to play when it's a new song. Once again, great job on the song...the effort you put into it shows. |

You know, if no one finds any guitar pro tabs I might be able to to the bass part for you based on these tabs. I am pretty good at it That would be awesome. I've mentioned before that I'm hopeless when it comes to doing much more than cutting and pasting bass tabs. I can sus out chords and strumming, but I'm lost w/bass (probably has something to do with the fact that I'm just not interested in playing bass). I want these files to be as complete as possible so I would really appreciate anything you're able to come up with. |

Today is a great Classis day on CF, thank you sasmallen, for another wonderful Eagles timeless classic :rolleyes:. No naggin' you mate but, is it possible that you'll be doing the Bass for this ?? :huh: Thanks dude B) I wish I could find a bass track for it in Guitar Pro format. The Guitar Pro file I had for this song listed lead/rhythm/bass, but the bass part was empty. On top of that both the lead and rhythm parts were so sparse that I ended up having to combine them just to make a useable lead. For rhythm I had to do it completely from scratch using a concert video and a guitar only tab book. As I'm not a bass player, I wouldn't even know where to start to do the same for bass. If anybody finds a Guitar Pro or Power Tab version that has bass, I'll be happy to add it...I just don't have the time to transcribe it myself. |

I actually enjoyed making this one more than I thought. I changed a few things in the rhythm tab to the way I had learned to play this on the acoustic. Changed the E/G# at the end of the F#m measures to a G#m. I feel like it still works for what it does, and I think it's a easier move (at least for me) still keeping a common hand shape for that passing transition chord. I also switched the A to a open chord from the barre chord that was tabbed. I was ok with the sound and it seemed like a easier transition back to the open E. Last thing I did was move the single chord strums in the bridge on the "lead" arrangement to the "rhythm" arrangement. I see now that I forgot something...I meant to take the arpeggios from the "rhythm" bridge and move them to "lead". I've added that to my "to do" list for version 3. |

Please don't list as DD if it is not DD I used the DDC tab in toolkit like all of my other customs. It was DD for me when I checked it, but it's not like you have to download it either way.
