Date: March 10, 2025 2:46 PM 		Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed the song! :) If I'm understanding your comment correctly, when you say "power notes" you mean the highlighted notes which are "accents". In this case, the accents are used to show "staccato" which means you play these notes quickly cut short, without letting them ring out at all. Accents are commonly used in Rocksmith to notate staccato since there is no specific staccato marking itself. You do not have to play the notes harder than usual, just play them with staccato. You did the correct thing in that you listened to the song to deduce what kind of note is used there. Hopefully that makes sense to you know and next time you see these accents especially on a bass path you can more quickly intuit that they are played with staccato, as it is a common technique.

Date: February 6, 2025 5:55 AM 		Hey, thanks for the upload - I would also second the feedback that cacahuate51 left here. Pretty much said all the stuff I would suggest, and using the DLC builder is pretty much required standard for new uploads so please switch over to using that ASAP. Some additional feedback though, there are a few wrong notes in the arpeggiated note pattern in the rhythm guitar that should be fixed, I noticed it when playing and that it repeats every time, I think it's right at the end of the pattern before it repeats. Also - instead of leaving the lead guitar so empty, you could combine it with the rhythm guitar - in this case, you just need to move all those lead notes down -3 since the rhythm guitar requires capo 3. If you do that, you can make a more interesting and fun combo path for the lead that covers the whole song. I also heard a couple wrong notes on the lead path as well, so do give that another check. Please join that discord link for help as I and other charters there will be more than happy to help you with some of these things. With a little tweaking I think you can get this chart a bit more accurate and even more fun to play :)

I would just suggest restarting the game, dragging the file out and then back in, some things like that. I hope you get the issue fixed, I will ask if there's any other ways that might fix it. It might sound dumb, but double check that you downloaded the right file for your system, mac or pc, (PC should end in p.psarc, mac is m.psarc), and that it's in the proper dlc folder etc. If I can think of anything else to try, I'll get back to you here.

I started charting another song by JM, and haven't gotten anywhere near where I want it yet, as I had to scrap any tabs I've found online and make my own, as all the tabs I found are pretty bad - so I definitely encourage at least making corrections if you're using tabs you find online. Tone changes are pretty easy btw, I can explain how - find the spot where you want the tone change to occur, make sure it's SLIGHTLY BEFORE the note, NEVER directly on a note - then Control+Shift+t to add a new tone change. you'll have to create at least 2 tones in the song so if you have only one other tone, you may need to place that in the very beginning of the song. Then, when you save, it should ask you to pick a base (starting) tone. pick whichever one the song starts with and that should do it 👍

I know many players prefer to play the higher harmony layers, as is common with Rocksmith arrangements, but when I add rhythm guitar I am happy to also add an alternate path that avoids those higher overdubs, like you want. I think since it uses quite a bit of the G-string, E standard tuning would be cool, if you just moved any lower notes up an octave for an E standard version, I make those kind of bass paths quite a bit. I know there's already a Drop D version previously posted for bass but I would love to see an E standard interpretation based on what you have here. I always download the Sabrina Carpenter tracks, but it looks like you've gotten the notes on this one off grid (not sure if this happened in the new version or when it happened). When adjusting the sync with the bars on the top of EOF you have to be really careful when dragging them around that you stay in that gray area, or it can cause issues where the notes fall off grid. Fixing all the notes can be a pain so try to avoid that in the future... so for this one you might even need to reimport the tab so it falls back perfectly on grid. If you'd like - I can help fix this one up and maybe give a few more charting tips etc. if you want any help you can PM me somewhere and send files and discuss I'd be happy to help :)

Date: November 23, 2024 11:19 AM 		Yeah, I'm aware ODLC doesn't use forced sustains quite as often as I prefer. One of my biggest reasoning for using them is that missing the the initial chord window is far too easy when there's no sustain tail. Especially in the case of this song, the chords are super long and the speed is slow, the chords are preferably strummed through and sound better not exactly on beat, and I don't like forcing the strum exactly on the beat just for the sake of achieving note recognition, since it should actually be a slower subtly arpeggiated brush-stroked chord. There were also obviously a lot of missing fingerings and improper techniques on V1 so I still maintain V2 is a marked improvement. But thanks for the food for thought and context of other chord usage in other DLC. I definitely notice that kind of thing as well and while ODLC is a good standard to use, it's not gospel, and I do have my reasons for preferring more chord sustains in certain contexts. But I'll try to think about best usage in the future for a less cluttered view depending on the song and context.

Date: July 25, 2024 8:32 PM 		Just played it everything was really good, and it's quite playable in this tuning but I do think the band plays it in Eb standard, judging from the low Eb power chord heard on the recording which you have charted an octave up. Other than that it was great and it didn't suffer too much from being in E standard other than the low Eb chord. But no rush to transpose everything and update as I know that's a lot of work, just something to keep in mind if you feel like adjusting some day. Thanks again for your work, good job.

I don't personally hear it as a clean, but I think you're saying the initial distortion tone is too much for the intro and then you want it to tone change when the full band kicks in? I will consider it, though for me it sounded pretty good on distortion the whole time. I hear it more as like the doubled guitars coming in on recording rather than a tone change, but maybe an intro tone will be worth adding... thanks for the suggestion.

I will hopefully find a solution soon, but until then just some advice; I dont typically use DD myself - I keep difficulty locked at 100 percent - and I dont really suggest using it, I personally find that taking notes out of an arrangement is not as good of a learning method as slowing the song down and repeating sections...  can you still navigate through phrases in RR at full diifficulty or is it always stuck at the end no matter what when using Riff Repeater? Again, thanks for letting me know, I'll work on updating and fixing this issue if/ when I can.

Are you sure this isn't an issue caused by the recent forced update to RS2014? For most ppl it currently breaks all mods including working CDLC. Check out some other customs to see if they are working, and if not you'll likely have to mod the game again and possibly opt in to a beta branch that retains an older version... check out the forums or elsewhere online for discussion on this update

I don't ususally use the riff repeater as much so it's not often a priority when I make CDLC, but I can look into updating it at some point if it needs it.

I'd have to check some videos of the band playing to be sure which one, but as of now this chart isn't right... also I would consider doing a tone change to a cleaner tone for the single note parts (those also might need to be palm muted) and then back to distortion for the power chords.  thx for the effort just thought I'd let you know

V1 and V1.1 works just fine for me and i can pass the tuning check just fine.  sorry it's not working right for you, I can generate a 3rd identical version if everyone is still having issues but keep trying bc they are both working fine on my end.

A few things that would make this even more awesome if you have the time:   1. one of the first tone changes happens too early, I think it goes to the reverb tone when it should still be distorted or lead tone   2. about 75% of the way through, theres a section where I think it gets just a little too noticeably out of sync, maybe just double check the beat syncing there and throughout   3. the dist tone is a little noisy for me.. maybe you could take some high and also some low end out with EQ? and/or turn it down a just a little? I also think the reverb tone is a little quiet in comparison. I do wish some of the solo parts had a wah effect on them but I know you are working with limited tones   thats pretty much it, I like everything else you've done with it and thanks again great job :)

You really impressed me with how you do it ; so thats really great so that just leaves the harmonic at 4th fret as i heared it and the intro same just E#----------- B#--6666666-- G#--7777777-- D#--0000000-- A#----------- C#------------ thats all i think is wrong I Also played your bass and its super cool you did it so accrate ; ill take what i learn from you to my next time I usually make the tabs up to 100% accurate but lately im just doing the tab as i can then  update them overtime but for songs like this ill remember that     ok cool, I'll check out those parts at some point. soon, I definitely wasn't sure about what I did with the harmonics, so I will try that out.   And thank you, it makes sense that the bass part is more accurate, because I am a much better bassist than guitarist! :-P

One trick I do every time I start the game is once you get to the main menu screen and the game begins "enumerating downloadable content", then press escape and quit back to the to the Rocksmith 2014 logo. then log in to your profile again and it should load (almost) all the CDLC. unfortunately sometimes random songs still don't show up.  Maybe a restart of your mac could solve it, that's what I do sometimes.   Good luck!

My guess is you wanted a simplified version that is easier to play? I did find some other tabs/ notations that seem more accurate so let me know if you need the links. but thanks for your work on this, it is mostly playable.

Date: March 7, 2020 1:15 AM 		Hey thank you for this, just wanted to let you know that everything seems ok except in the prechoruses - there's a part where it's pumping octaves on the first and third fret when I think they should be down a fret to the low open D (since it's in D standard) on the E string and 2nd fret on the D string. it happens twice in the song, and it's that the last chord of pumping octaves right before the chorus starts again. with that fix everything should be solid!     (to be honest I think the song was played in E standard originally and the low notes are synth but this works just fine)

Thanks for your effort in getting this up, but just to give you my feedback - the lead path was very playable until it gets to the bridge, but if you're ever interested in updating this, definitely check out starting from that section... the chords I think are right, it's just the timing of the progression there. you jumped to a chord too soon.    the RTM seems good and I haven't checked out the bass but I know there is another version with just bass on here. anyways just thought I'd let you know of that trouble spot, other than that as a personal preference I might switch the RTM and lead during some parts like the verses and bridge, although I understand why you chose that part for the chorus and the main gtr riff.   hope this wasn't too much lol, thanks again for getting this up, let me know if you want any help updating :)
