About the Artist
Urgehal is a Norwegian black metal band formed in Hønefoss in 1992 by lead guitarist and vocalist Trond Bråthen, known by the stage name Trondr Nefas, and rhythm guitarist Enzifer. Prior to disbanding in 2016, the group released seven full-length albums, four extended plays, and two demos. Urgehal reformed in 2022 as a tribute to past members.
Urgehal’s music is influenced by the Norwegian black metal scene of the early 1990s. Guitarist Enzifer has cited the band Darkthrone as a primary influence.
