King Crimson are an English progressive rock band formed in London in 1968 by Robert Fripp, Michael Giles, Greg Lake, Ian McDonald, and Peter Sinfield. Guitarist Robert Fripp has remained the only constant member throughout the band's history. They incorporate a wide variety of musical styles, including classical, jazz, folk, heavy metal, gamelan, blues, industrial, electronic, and experimental music. King Crimson have been influential on the progressive rock movement of the early 1970s
