Uhh there is a reason, its called extended practice without having to stop and wait for riff repeater to loop back around.. some of us practice for more than 1 min at a time |

Either I am misunderstanding what you are saying, or there is something going on on your end - I've played all 3 parts many times over in riff repeater without any problems. I just now loaded the song up, went into Riff Repeater and was able to select all sections while changing difficulty without any problem. Here's a screenshot: |

I should have specified the fingering on the main riff using fingers 1+3 for the notes and power chords - this is the way most people will want to play it (instead of using fingers 1,3,4) If I have time for an update, I'll include the change |

I am working on an update to the bass part, revising some things to better match how its actually played by the band and cleaning up the chart, better bass tone - sorry about the terrible bass tone right now, not sure how I ended up with that bass tone... Also going to try to do some updates to the guitar Things are moving slowly right now cus its 90 degrees in my house every day, so could be a lil bit before the next update |

Title: Hammer of Heaven Date: June 4, 2022 2:44 PM |
Yeah I am surprised The Sword isn't more popular around here. I really loved Apocryphon and the other albums were also pretty good up until High Country which didn't do much for me. Same with Used Future, they seemed to go in a direction that just sounded lifeless to me compared to the older stuff. I did enjoy their cover version of the Dark Side of the Moon album, that was pretty cool |

I also need to study some more live videos bc I see that after the solo, the other guitars seem to be playing single note riffs instead of that octave riff on the D/B strings which is in the tab/main lead part 2:22 in this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEo88p2YcPk |

Title: Rhinoceros Date: May 22, 2022 9:48 PM |
@Conichito yeah I just looked at some live video and looks like you're right, D'Arcy is playing up at the 11th fret for that part. I barely play any bass, pretty much only to test the bass parts in these CDLC so its harder for me to spot mistakes on bass, but I thought something seemed off. I'll try to get it corrected soon. I think some things may be a little off on the guitar as well in places, but I'm a bit short on time at the moment to go full out on transcribing myself. I also just realized that the recent deluxe release of Gish has a louder mix where all the parts are more clear and would have been better to use for this. Prob would have fixed some of the tone issues because Rocksmith seems to need the tone volumes to be up or it never sounds quite right when the volume levels are set too low. So I guess I may end up having to redo the whole beatmap again using the Deluxe mix.... |

Title: Warm Up Routine BERNTH Date: May 17, 2022 7:18 PM |
@YYZ_Knot thanks for your suggestion - it made me get around to learning how to setup FHPs properly. Although per note fingerings can't be displayed, this will show where to put finger 1 in all sections of the song, and the remaining fingers are determined by the placement of finger 1. I guess I now need to go back and update my other practice CDLCs with this as well. |

Title: Warm Up Routine BERNTH Date: May 17, 2022 4:10 PM |
Also, if anyone is struggling with the finger positions, you can always watch the Bernth video and make note of what fingers he is using to play each part. I also strongly recommend slowing the sections way down until you have a proper understanding of how to play them. Just taking it slowly and understanding the part is generally enough to understand what fingers you should use |

Title: Warm Up Routine BERNTH Date: May 17, 2022 4:00 PM |
Yeah, i did think about the fingerings but unfortunately I don't know of a way to display fingerings for single notes unless you use handshapes - and I think you can only apply handshapes to a group of notes such as a chord where you are playing each note in the chord individually. Going from one note to the next on the same string, etc, I don't know of a way to make RS display the fingers. |

If anyone has any issues with the acoustic tone being too low in volume, let me know here. I had to turn the DI Box Input Gain all the way down on that tone to prevent distortion and I'm not sure if its something specific to my setup that was causing this Edit: Noticed I was experiencing the same distortion issue on official CDLC with acoustic tones. Just re-calibrated my volume level in RS setup and that fixed the problem with the distorted acoustic tones... haven't played RS in a while and I guess somehow the settings got messed up. Will probably do a small update to this CDLC later today/tonight on the tone levels. It sounds alright still as is, but could use some adjustments |

Ok, I opened the CustomsForge Song Mangager program and I see I can edit the song properties in this program - it looks like its probably because the song title is too long and it cuts off everything after a certain point, resulting in all the files having the same DLC key. thanks for the feedback, I might do an update with louder synth part. I kinda feel the same, its only a little different because this is for practice and you want to focus on being very precise with your picking - which also means paying close attention to how your playing sounds. I figure it might be easier for people to focus on their own sound if there isn't a synth sound somewhat covering up sloppy picking |

Yeah I do usually tend to loop each part much longer than I did in this one, but I wondered if maybe it makes the whole thing a bit too redundant for riff repeater usage. Since its good to have a small break for your fingers every so often, I figured 4x playing a pattern and then looping back with the riff repeater would give that small break while keeping it going indefinitely. Also wasn't sure if anyone would really play the entire practice through from beginning to end or just focus on each workout individually. I can update to a longer version or maybe put out a 2nd CDLC that is longer and people can choose which one they want |

Yeah I had the original CDLC and it wasn't too bad. It cut out most of the intro due to the fade in, which IMO is one of the best parts of the song. The tones needed some improvement and some other slight things, but this is a hard song to chart, especially considering none of the tabs are very good after the 2nd half of the song. The different fx used make it hard also, not just the kinds of fx but the fact you are limited to 4 tones |

Title: Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd Cover) Date: April 28, 2021 9:10 PM |
Also, if you get a chance to update the fingerings - I notice in the video he just holds the chord shapes like the G and plucks between strings - the chart has it switching to fingers 2+3 for B+E strings and then jumping back to the lower strings with the same fingers, but its played with fingers 3+4 like the G chord and the first fingers used for the lower notes... |

V2 Update Notes: OK, just uploaded V2 which is still only the lead, but it is substantially improved. Chord timings have been thoroughly fixed along with more accurate chord voicings which reflect the way it is played. I also corrected volume levels on the song & tones to be more closely matched, and added a noise gate to the distorted tone and the solo tone. I may still tweak the solo tone a bit for the next version - The noise gate required me to remove the octaver pedal due to Rocksmith's limitations on number of FX. My apologies for first version which still needed a lot of work. This was my first time creating a tab from scratch in Guitar Pro & I also still wasn't very familiar with EOF. I have learned a lot about both programs in the process, so I should be set to do some more CDLC soon - more Pumpkins coming! |

Hope ya enjoy it surrealconcepts!I couldn't decide on including a noise gate in the tones - if people are really annoyed with feedback let me know and I will upload a new version with a noise gate to prevent feedback. Its occurred to me that it may be more of an issue for anyone starting out on the low settings of Dynamic Difficulty The general volume on the guitar tones is a bit higher than the backing song also so that you can hear your own playing clearly - the guitar sound is so full in the song that its hard to make out your own playing if the levels match too closely. I can also reduce the guitar tone volumes if people would prefer to set their own adjustments in the mixer |

Really appreciate your work RevyRun. Just noting that the solo has a different version which I find better to play. I'm not sure which is more accurate to how Billy plays as I can't find any clear live videos showing his fingerings, but the alternate way is also present on the official ultimate guitars tab Also the rhythm part has a weird tuning that is different from the lead, not sure if thats possible to setup in CDLC. The solo breakdown is in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZwHMgFuiiY Edit: I've started an updated version doing my own custom tabbing from some various sources. Just letting you know to avoid us both working on it in case you wanted to |

This guy did a very impressive metal cover of the Tristram Theme - would be cool to get a CDLC of this version! Â https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Z6ZJQEGVGY Â mp3:Â https://www.mediafire.com/?1xx08bo978dbvpa |

holy crap... decided to search for this but never expected it to actually be here. Â the kind of song that never gets boring to listen to... always one of the best parts of playing Diablo, simply the music with such atmosphere |
