Date: October 26, 2015 3:41 PM
Hello and welcome to our community   Just so you know, this song has been charted before already :   http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/take-my-heart-r13921   It's not a big deal, and there's no rule against multiple versions of a same song (especially if your version has something the previous ones didn't have like multitracks or additional arrangements) but it's good practice to check for other versions before posting your own CDLC.   That being said, thanks for your work!

Hey man, good work you did here, although I'm not a fan of these open strings and I would rather play the main riff not like this :   ------------- ------0---0- -0-2---2--- -------------   but more like this :   ------------- ------------- ------5---5- -5-7---7---     And also the bass sound is too loud on my setup   Thanks for the tune!

It seems the download link still points to v1, where can we find v1.3 ? Or is it just the file name that wasn't updated? If that is so...I would be quite embarassed because the version I just downloaded and played has a really horrible bass tone. Not the tone that's used for the main riff, this one is ok; but the tone for the choruses and verses is just...awful, really. So I'm hoping v1.3 has this fixed and is available somewhere. Otherwise I would suggest to remove the chorus/verse tone and use the "riff" tone throughout the whole song.

I just looked at the playthrough vids and there seems to be something wrong in the bars I added...the open E just doesn't sound right in the chord progression. I think I'm going to have to send you another tab...   EDIT : I checked my GP tab again while watching your video, the bars 61 and 65 were altered, there are no open E strings there in my tab. These 2 bars come at 5:37 and 5:44 respectively in your video.

Title: You Keep Me Hangin' On
Date: August 16, 2015 4:29 PM
I forgot to mention in the release notes, for some strange reason the preview of the song is sped up (and higher pitched). This doesn't affect anything in game. I'm not sure why it happened, but some other methods for producing the .wem caused the game to crash, so I figured I'd live with it, and I hope you can too. It might be me but it seems like this is happening in the song as well...but not as bad as the preview, the songs sounds like it's being played just a little too fast...maybe I'm just drunk :D       This is one of my favourite songs and it was amazing to hear it with me playing along (if you see what I mean!). About 2/3rds of the way through though, I did feel that the bass went a bit weird, but then came back. It could be me though. Excellent work though and much appreciated! That's definitely possible - the power tab I used to make the GP file (now added to the dropbox folder. "Bass pos 1-4" is the main arrangement) was some level of incomplete or wrong. From what I remember I needed to make significant changes and additions between measures 60 and 80 or so. I tried to get the outline of the bassline right, but it would be quite easy for me to have gotten many of the details wrong. If you can figure out where I'm going wrong, let me know here or (even better) make some changes to the GP and send me the corrected version.   Here's a GP5 tab that I made, it's taken from the Hal Leonard songbook "Motown Bass Classics" which I would recommend to anyone interested in J.Jamerson's lines : here. The fingers' position is different but it could be easier to play since these songbooks are usually pretty good with the fretboard logic..

Hi, I found 2 strange things when playing the bass path...first I reached 100% without even completing all the difficulty levels (I still have orange bars on the top of the screen, not all of them have turned purple). Next strange thing is, I played the song in Score Attack mode (hardest level) and basically 30% of the notes are not showing...there's even a full 30 seconds of the song left without any note to play...any idea what might cause this?   Thank you

This is my Version of the Song: https://www.dropbox...._5_p.psarc?dl=0   Almost the same, i think your Scrollspeed is a to fast... Yes, the scroll speed is much too fast...probably you should divide your bpm by 2 and double your notes' value. Also you need to add a custom tone as it makes the bass sound drop to zero, and you can't hear yourself playing. This is very easy to do with the toolkit.   Thank you

Please can you add a custom tone for the bass and post a v2? Any song without a tone causes the instrument sound to drop to zero (basically you can't hear what you're playing) and it sticks to the songs you play next...meaning you need to re-start the game all over to hear yourself again.   This is very easily done with the Rocksmith toolkit.   Thank you!

No fault of the OP, but man, this is disappointingly boring for bass. It's funny how you can hear a song so much, and never really think about how it's put together, or whether it will make an interesting part for a specific instrument.   Thanks to OP for posting, I still played it, and always enjoy the opportunity to listen to Take Five.   Aaaaah great one. Did you use any special tone for the bass to get that fuzz/distorted sound? Yes, the bass has a fuzz tone and the lead guitar has a tremolo tone. Probably, I'll have to work on a bass tone, but I need some feedback how it works.   Hi there After playing the song, I find the bass tone a little too 'agressive', too distorted...I thought I was Cliff Burton playing Anestesia Pulling Teeth !! And also, are you sure about these up and down slides? They seemed a bit odd to play in a Radiohead song...but maybe it's just me.

Hi, Here's a playthrough vid for the bass :   http://youtu.be/nr9qBhWU_3s   The tone sounds good, the tab is spot on, except for the descending slides in the Intro and Chorus sections which should start from the 14th fret and not the 12th.   My only complaint is with the slides from the 2nd fret up to the 14th in the Verse sections : the high F# notes (on the 14th fret) seem to be slightly out of synch. As you will see from the video, I play the notes right on the beat but the game says I missed.   Thanks again for your work   PS : and yes, the correct name is 'Fistful' and not 'Fist full' ;)

Not a big deal, but I see you've got the artist sort field as "Franklin, Aretha" (or at least, it is sorted in the F's) rather than "Aretha Franklin".  Official DLC and most custom DLC uses first names for sorting rather than last, ie. Joe Satriani is in the J's not S's.   I'll test the chart etc. soon, but thought I should comment on that first. It's funny that you ask this because on a previous CDLC that I posted (can't remember which one), someone asked for the exact opposite and said it was common rule...I guess for next ones I'll just go the same way that official DLCs are sorted...by first names

Hi, Thanks for your work. Towards the end of the song (when he sings Noooo Fuuutuuuure) the bass line is going wrong and then after a few seconds it's back to normal, I think maybe a bar or two are missing in your tab. Otherwise the song is very fun to play and the rest of the tab is good.

Title: 'What's Going On' Medley
Date: October 30, 2014 5:59 PM
Thanks for your hard work on this. My only complaint is that I'm going to kill myself by trying to get 100% on the whole thing! In my opinion 100% is impossible, there are simply too many notes. I see it more as a way to study the Motown playing style. For example, you can compare Jamerson's flamboyant playing on 'What's Happening Brother' and Bobbitt's more classical style on 'Mercy Mercy Me' (octave-fifth-root pattern, something Roger Waters used à lot as well...)
