I have my own custom/neutral tone that I load at the start of each song, that I run through my pedal board. Having said that I do want to go through every VH song I've put out as I'd like to get the tones right, and clear any little issue.

All the software we use to make customs are super clunky and quirky (though I'm eternally thankful for the dudes who made them), but tone design is especially broken, partly due to Rocksmith itself. A way around this is to make a Bass tone you like, and save it so that you can load it when the song starts. My son loads a neutral guitar tone at the start of every song he plays, so that he can use his pedal board on Rocksmith.

I've fallen behind with listening to all of Marillion's output, but really like the stuff I know, and really like playing it - because there are bands out there that are great to listen to, but really underwhelming to play. I also need a big list, because it's really hard to find good resources to use when tracking, and you have to go through all the sources, text tabs, guitar pro files, scores or even Midi files can help. Some songs I spend a long time figuring out w/ my guitarist son. Slainte Mhath was like that, but we eventually got there, or close enough.

For a lot of these tracks, I've primarily put them together to play with my son, who's a guitarist, and we both like to have the words, and a track that's as complete as possible. We only play complete tracks (Bass + Guitar), and even add the words to tracks that we like (obviously I wouldn't put any of those out). I've been putting them out simply because I think other people in this community would enjoy them too. Often these are tracks that we've been playing for weeks or months before I decide to put them out and then there's always a mad scramble at the end because I never put any tones on the tracks we play together. So I often don't remember where all the separate parts came from because I'm often putting these together from many sources, such as charts, Guitar Pro files, Hal Leonard scores, Ultimate Guitar and Songsterr tracks, and yes, other Rocksmith tracks as a last resort, if they have decent parts on them. So anyway, I apologize if you feel hurt that I didn't credit you appropriately. Again, my goal is to not keep to myself Rocksmith tracks that the community would enjoy, especially for bands that have few complete tracks, such as Yes and also Van Halen. These are great bands, and in a day when no one plays any real music anymore, any effort that could reverse that trend is worthwhile. Anyway, I'll try to credit you in the future, when applicable. And thank you for all the Bass tracks you've put out all these years.

I'm a bassist, and my son is a guitarist, and we're both super into old and new Yes. As I've said elsewhere, I have a few tracks that are done, such as And You And I, but still need to work adding the tones. As my son prefers using his pedalboard, he loads a neutral tone at the start of the song and does his own tone changes, so putting out tracks that are mostly ready (and much tested) always have this little hill to climb at the end.

A very simple thing really, as it just involves repackaging in the Rocksmith Toolkit GUI, with the Lead and Bass tuning set at A446. But... The track produced comes out as A445. Checking it in the Song Manager it says the tuning is A445.8. So annoying. And several tracks later and it's still unresolved. I can put the first one I did out, which is set at A446, but reads as A445 in Rocksmith. Sadly all these wonderful CDLC editing tools, produced by marvelous, selfless programmers, for which I'm eternally grateful, are riddled with bugs and quirks.

I'm happy that I got the Bass down correctly, as none of the scores and tracked Bass were correct in the solo - the only part where the Bassline develops a bit more. It becomes unsynced at around 3:18 and resnapp at around 3:45   ps: i'm one of those weirdos owning a "little guitar". Would be nice to have a G standard / G drop F version :D   I think I've fixed it. Man, it was seriously out of whack! Can't think how we missed it (my 12yr. old son plays the guitar, I play the bass). The lyrics issue: I certainly saw them flicker in Rocksmith, but I couldn't find any issue in the EOF editor. I tweaked the spacing to see if it helps. Hopefully it's fixed (I've tested the synch issue, but not the lyrics). Please let me know if you find any more glitches.   I'd certainly consider a "little guitar" version, as that's how EVH played live, at least for a while, and my mission is to pay homage to EVH... Would it be very cheeky to ask you to check my other VH tracks, as I really would love them to be as well  made as possible? I'm finalizing "Love Walks In" and "Dirty Movies", and then I'm thinking of redoing some of the weaker tracks that have been uploaded by others.
